Hey guys, I powerlevelled awhile back about the difficulty in talking about the effects of the drugs, and I spoke to an actual surgeon for his input on this. He's a pretty leftie dude but he's pretty much 180-ed since this began on Floyd, and he explained something I was wrong on.

A common side effect of meth is pulmonary edema. (E-Deem-A). It stands for "fluid in the lungs". I described it as basically pooling inside the lungs, but it turns out it's actually inside the little blood vessels, and the increased "pulmonary pressure" from meth, whatever that means, makes it likely that the internal fluid ends up in that area. What this means if for all intents and purposes, there is no blood reaching these tiny blood vessels, and no oxygen exchange going on. Pulmonary Edema is not simply caused by meth however, it requires some action to occur.

Screaming, rapid breathing, or anything else that gets the lungs going quickly causes increased pressure to force the "lung juice" through like a sieve, trapping it inside the alveoli (little lung bits) and basically preventing breathing from occurring.

The result is a swollen, fluid filled lung that doesn't quite do its job.

And I did some quick research, and yeah. his lungs were. Not only were his lungs full of fluid, but they weighed a kilogram during his autopsy.

Blood drains out of bodies before the autopsy. According to studies I found, the average dead dudes lung weighs 250 g.

Meaning that drained of blood, Floyd's lung weighed the same as most people's normal, healthy lungs. Or in other words, there was as much fluid in Floyd's lungs than there is blood in your's at this very moment.

The problem is that in many cases finding a rallying call is hard, because the unjust killings have to be done by white cops. For example, in January, Howard Brown was kidnapped and murdered in cold blood in Memphis TN by an active cop, who was a jilted ex of the black man's new lover. If said ex wasn't also a black man, and the lover wasn't also black, that might have made the national news. Instead it was merely a local footnote.

Over time I've spotted some absolutely absurd unjust killings, indefensible ones really, but they tend to happen to Mexicans. George Floyd's death got press for being unreasonably violent & on film, even if the details of the case are more than meet the eye. You know who never got a protest? Ramon Lopez, likely mentally ill non-offender who got a call to cops by a spooked lady for being too erratic in a parking lot. Like Floyd, he was held against the ground, but this was Arizona- the asphalt was hot enough to give him third degree burns. Cause of death still isn't formally released on account of the homicide investigation, but these burns are across enough of his BSA (about 26% based on news report descriptions of his injuries & the footage) that it could have triggered hypovolemia and cardiogenic shock.

There is an air of distrust and distaste for authority right now and by picking bad hills to die on they encourage schisms. If they found a kid getting unreasonably killed by cops and fell in line, so would the rest of polite society, and the story would die. With these, you get people concerned with the facts and disbelieving in the narrative into the "opposing camp," where they belong, and they take the hit to their public reputation and sanity to spread "DEBUNKED, RACIST, DISPROVEN RUMORS" about poor wittle Treyvon, or Floyd, or whoever it is today.
Sure, individual sane blacks and progs will sometimes realize that the person on the end of the barrel deserved it too, but eventually they'll be caught off-guard/misinformed too fast to realize it's not just racists they're arguing with. Tribalism always wins, and flawed heroes create tribes.

If yes, would a reasonable person be expected to know that applying pressure so gentle to the neck/upper back that it didn't bruise could prevent the lungs from draining?
Just that fact that the reasonable people in the thread have to ask for expert opinions on an autopsy report seems like a no on both questions, and that would be a not guilty.
