He keeps repeating that he cant get access to the same healthcare as other people what does he mean by that?
ITs pretty much a lie. The uk has a pretty good healthcare system, everyone is entitled to the same care based on their needs. For example two people need chemo, one is a rich white hetro male, the other is a poor black gay woman. If both use the NHS they will receive the same care, same doctors, same treatment and will both be subjected to the same waiting lists, unless one decides to get private healthcare.
in the UK health care is based on need, crisis/time/emergency and if it will improve or deteriorate health.
If four people go to a &e, person A enters first with a sprained ankle, person B enters next with chest pains, person C enters next with a broken leg and person D enters last with a stab wound, the order of being seen will be D B C A. Its commonsense care
Ollie is upset hes not being put first, he thinks that as a trans person he should get not only seen first but preferential treatment. Doctors will evaluate who gets treatment based on who needs it first, if olly goes in the same time as a woman who is suffering severe menopausal symptoms, then the doctor will treat her first, olly is in no danger, his health is fine the woman on the other hand is not, but in ollies world this is transphobia and as a rich white boy he thinks he deserves everything now and when he demands it. the NHS does not work that way.
Same for the moaning about breast surgery, not only is he lying or misinformed ( more likely the later) but women are not just given breast reduction surgery, they are told to lose weight, assessed mentally, given exercises, signed up for physio, assessed on what their own culpability ( are they actively trying to loose weight, wear the right bra)/ but at the end of the day the same scenario happens. to top it off a woman wanting breast reductions for aesthetic reasons or due to back pain will be put behind other women who need breast reduction or removal, the most obvious being those with cancer. but if a trans woman is waiting for breast surgery due to their feelings and a woman is waiting due to back pain, the woman will be seen first because her health, plus if left the likely scenario is she will be back with more serious health issues which will cost the NHS more.
but putting this all aside, the NHS is incredibly good to trans communities, not only do they receive the same care as everyone else without judgement. They are entitled to extra care, the NHS has funded trans care, they have speciality care, sections of the NHS work entirely on trans health and mental care, transiting and support. They even have staff training designed to make trans lives better, they celebrate tranness, staff wear pronoun badges.
olly is just making up lies because he needs to feel oppressed but unfortunately he lives in a country that regardless of its faults is pretty damn progressive and incredibly safe for trans people.
all olly sees is his own tiny bubble plus he has a clear issue with real women, we have seen the mask slip a few times, just watch him talk about women receiving care on the NHS the pure venom in his voice, he has issues.
