You gotta love the dichotomy of Phil acting like he's an important internet celebrity and also throwing a panic-stricken fit over (even the possibility of) someone recognizing him. Gojitenks HAS to be a psychotic loser out to ruin your life, he can't possibly be someone just out looking for some good games of Street Fighter, which you claim to be capable of giving as an expert.
Here's the thing with Mrs. Edd: she has the cocktail of being from a broken home on the other side of the country, more than likely has aspergers or is on the spectrum and going so long without stability that Piggy is the perfect fit for her with his lukewarm sludge ways. For the cost of underwear time at best twice a year she gets a room to herself to play a near decade old game and spend her equivalent to tardbucks that come in from backbreaking Fred Meijer customer service 18 hours a week all to herself and Piggy gets the super special title of machoor aduhlt you fucking loser that still lives with his parents in the basement *ack ack*. BTW that's an adlib from one of my favorite Piggy moments, him shitting on a guy who was an actual professional MK/Injustice player before getting anal raped in a match and also turned out the dude is married with a child and his home is paid in full and he plays for fun.
He's afraid to play with people offline, period. Plus, the lobby quitting was pushed into overdrive today. I'm 99% sure he spent more time quitting lobbies than actually playing the game.

I found an article stating it was free with PSN Plus but now it costs $20. Not sure if you had to buy it at the end of that deal or not. But thanks for reminding me that Destruction Allstars had the same deal.
Can corroborate to some extent. Wings himself said that Fall Guys was only popular because it was free on PSN Plus, and the decline in popularity coincides with the $20 charge because "people want everything free." Not sure if you had to buy it either, but yea.
The difference is that Jason is actually charming. I'd hang out with Jason IRL.

The conflicting thoughts I have is whether Phil is truly self aware of how much of a lame existence he lives. Some may argue the point that this is all that Phil desires. A condo he can call a house and can provide him a “safenet” since it is a “gated” community, a wife so he can at least attempt to convince himself that someone loves him, and finally a large source of income for food and to scratch his gacha itch. I just wonder if the thought ever seeps into his mind that his life is depressing. He’s convinced himself the world is out to get him and probably would freak out if someone notices him in his shopping trips. He avoids anyone he suspects being a “detractor” in games and runs like a pussy when one joins his sessions. He has no real friends and no one to truly confide to when he’s feeling down (the vegetable wife doesn’t count). Finally he stumbles on “content creation” and made fuck you money but what does he have to show for it? The middle condo? Anyone with some maturity would have maintained that money better than him. Even now, he made some pretty good money in the last year alone with the vest streak and what does he have to show? The fact he’s a coward and has no pride will prevent him to do it but anyone with one drop of pride would either shape up or jump off a cliff if they were Phil Burnell.
something I always thought was funny was him being scared as fuck of Fightcade and dismissing it as "not the real game/game speed" despite having the same outlook on the Anniversary Collection and Ultra SF2. You also have the dumbfuck claiming "online tactics" for games he hasn't and will never play offline at points like he's some fucking expert.
