Does Ray actually do anything that warrants a thread? The banana thing is kinda funny but 99% of his content is milquetoast creation stuff that might as well be copy/pasted from Answers In Genesis.

Amateur biochem/pharmacology analysis is pretty silly, it's complicated and there are extreme variations in how people metabolize stuff... you can't for example determine anything meaningful by "adding" a metabolite to the substance present in blood levels. EC50 is also a useless measure here, as a non-tolerant individual would probably get nauseous from 10mg morphine (exceeding the "effective" dose) while a junkie could swallow 200mg just to get well, and then wash it down with some vodka. Some people are even "resistant" to opiates due to some kind of genetic shittery.

EDIT: There is a small amount of clinical data available about heroic opiate dosages, from memory a few people prescribed morphine were recorded as taking multiple GRAMS of it per day to only average effect (that is to say they were functional and coherent).

LD50 would be better to use than EC50 for a case of death, but even so the issue of tolerance makes a specific conclusion hard to draw. What we can infer from the numbers is that the guy did in fact take a fat fuckin' dose. He was most definitely all fucked up. The drugs present combined with the respiratory depression that seemed to lead to his death would imply an overdose.

If the new story coming out that he swallowed "Percocets" which were actually faked up with fentanyl and meth is correct, then I can explain a bit about that. Most likely "Percocet" as slang here refers to Oxycodone 30mg IR pills, also known as "Perc 30's" in some circles. In the last 5 years or so, instances of pressed (fake) Oxy 30's have increased dramatically. The pills come through Mexico, and the active ingredient is usually either one of the weaker Fentanyl analogues (Butyrfentanyl, Methylfentanyl, etc.), or proper Fentanyl HCl. Whether the pills are manufactured in Mexico or transshipped directly from China is a mystery, but you can bet that most, if not all, of the opioid component is manufactured in China.

The unusual thing here is that the pills supposedly contained meth, which is something you'd usually find in "Rolls" or "Ecstasy" pills rather than a press 30. If someone told me that a person died from taking fent/meth pills, I would assume that they had taken (really) shitty rolls. However, we're talking about drugs made by chink and beaner bootleggers, so it's not entirely impossible that nonsense batches like this would come out. I would still lean towards the meth being separate from the fent, that maybe he had rolls AND 30's on him, they're both really common in the dimebag-dealer and junkie scene.

I know someone who is in prison right now because he was selling press 30's from Mexico, and WHOOPS one of his regulars got a hot dose and stopped breathing. The dead person's partner took a pill from the same batch and lived, they both nodded off but when one woke up the other was dead (UH OH).

His meth levels seem quite low, from what I can see. 19 ng/ml. That seems like yesterday's meth. From what I can see that's below the sensitivity levels of a lot of tests.

But the fentanyl level of 11ng/ml appears to be an 'anaesthetic dose'. It's not likely to kill someone, but it's far beyond the 'analgesic dose of like 2ng/ml.

For some reason the liars who write Snopes left out (https://www.snopes.com/news/2020/06/12/george-floyd-criminal-record/) the fact he was likely on smack as well as meth & fent & weed, however the morphine level was low, so not recent either.

The fentanyl probably came from China, so I guess all those niggas attacking Asians are just getting their justified revenge.

I had figured from the initial release of his toxicology from last year that he must have taken a handful of different pills. I suppose it's possible that the meth was in the same tablet as the fent, but like you said it isn't unlikely that he just ate a bunch of different funny shaped pills that day.

Yes. Also sickle cell (which makes heart attacks more likely and severe), 75-90% blockages in all his arteries, and a documented history of cardiovascular problems. He was a ticking time bomb of cardiac arrest, and the smallest thing could have pushed him over the edge into a very fatal event. Like running up a few flights of stairs, experiencing stress, or chomping down an already lethal mix of fentanyl and meth.

Floyd had sickle cell trait, not sickle cell disease. That means he didn't have sickle cell, but if he had kids with a woman baby-momma who also had the trait, their kids have a chance of being born with it.

You had a crowd around them going against it, heavily implying something was clearly wrong here. And the man himself begging for his 'mama'. Multiple elements combining to make it more than just "Yet another black man" shot, and instead turning into something very easy to get behind.

Sickle trait only acts like sickle cell during extreme hypoxia, but it capable of further complicating such events. In other words, if you are severely oxygen deprived in a certain area due to restricted blood flow, the red cells will sickle up and start clots. If you are systemically deprived of oxygen enough to trigger sickle trait, then you're already dead so it doesn't matter anymore. So, if blood flow gets cut off, clots form, causing more loss of blood flow, causing more clots.

I do too; apparently people with sickle cell trait can have a sickle cell crisis (when your blood cells chimp out and forget how to act normal) in rare cases. @Coccxys posted about one such instance above. Here's another one from wikipedia:
