General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

The guy was to much of a cheapskate and could not buy a Supernova
That's not even hyperbole at that point. You would literally be throwing your money into a black hole.

EDIT: For those of you who like both of them, Ina gave Pikamee some public attention because of Monster Hunter. Begin your wild speculations/unlikely dreams of a Monster Hunter collab now.

OH PLEASE YAGOO let that happen 🙏🙏

Imagine being an interstellar colonist in the far future and finding out that your entire solar system was named after a weeaboo wigger rapper 3 millennia ago.
"Captain's Log, Stardate unspecified. Lieutenant O'Taku informs me that the star we are currently orbiting is named for a 'rap artist'. Lieutenant Tray Qwan has asked me to note that ''that shit be wack as hell, yo' "

No value, basically as legit as buying an "English Title of Nobility". Not technically illegal (they make no mention of official recognition on their website), but all the names are only recognized by the company that sells them, not any international agencies like the International Astronomical Union, scientists or governments. If anything interesting ever happens with that star, the bought name is not going to be in the news. It still has a nice factor of being able to search out the star that you "bought" on the night sky with the maps they provide, but you could do that with any other datasource for free, just without a nice-looking certificate.
That's exactly what I was wondering. Dude basically got scammed.

Now, if the name were recognized by some international organization, that'd be dope

You'd think most companies would try to milk the fuck out of their newfound cow asap. But... we know Cover is not like most companies.
Risk-averse Jap corpo that requires data first in order to justify additional capital expenditures into a foreign market they're not really familiar with. *shrug* We can only second-guess what their internal numbers are as far as merch is concerned.

I mean, it's one of those things where the gesture itself has value, instead of the gift itself. There are girls that like that shit.

Algorithm truly works in mysterious ways.
This girl is growing really fast just because by some random whim many got introduced to that tongue clip of hers(there are several circulating). Although this time it's probably due to JP clippers.
She kinda lewd.jpg
She is a first from second gen in her company being debuted. Closest to her is someone who was introduced in September last year sitting at 48k.

Also, CocoxPochi meme review when.

Also also, it was established previously that there aren't many ASMR connoisseurs here, but still, bumped into something intense over at YT comments:
This is what Choco's ASMR would be like if YT wasn't a fucking virgin.
Don't remember this being posted before. Maybe just not with this as a source.
Whoever fancies this - enjoy.

lmao how many shekels do you think she will burn on getting all the goods?

These games usually average around 3000 to 4000yen per win, getting sniped notwithstanding and it's a monetized stream anyways so she'll most likely getting back several times the amount spent even after youtube cut.

At the risk of ruining the joke by way of explaining it, you do know that one of the states a supernova can collapse into is a black hole, right?

The only thing I would like to see in regards to socio-politics and vtubers is how they view certain cultural elements and historical perceptions from different countries.

When Pekora played Fallout 4, she reacted negatively to the scene in the opening where an atomic bomb drops, signify the end of World War 2. Those few seconds told me more about modern Japanese perspectives on the atomic bombings of WW2 than I could get in a book on the subject.

Or when Marine tried to convert Subaru to Christianity and expected a response of “Are you Perry?” And then Subaru corrected her by saying that she should have asked if Subaru was Xavier. That two of the important interactions Japan has had with foreigners can be used as a joke gave me more of an understanding of Japanese phrases and what they perceive as historically sacrosanct.

If I’m going to spend my time watching people play video games in a language I can’t understand, I’d at least like to learn something from it.
I've seen clips of the former, but not the latter. When did that happen?

I enjoy ASMR, but i can't really understand people that listen to stuff like this one, the point of ASMR is to try and make you feel that tingly sensation that goes through your spine or at least relax you. This "ASMR" you sent has the sole purpose of making your dick hard and i can't really relax when i'm fucking horny, you can argue that cooming while listening to this can be relaxing but then in the end this is nothing more than porn that you consume with your ears.

That's the point, to jack off to it. You may not be able to fap to it, buy some do, and are willing to pay big bucks for it.

I've got a lot of shit to catch up on but this shit caught my eye.

Her massive ego will be her downfall. Sucks, as a BABYMETAL fanatic I was really interested in her considering her first cover. Ironic considering SUMETAL (BABYMETAL lead singer) is such a humble and empathetic girl. Mana seems to be a fan too so I wonder why she's such a cunt. Clout chasing maybe? First time I've seen a BBM fan be such a raging asswipe. They can be annoying in the way vtuber fans can be, but holy shit this bitch thinks her farts don't stink
I just looked up who Mana even is and honestly this seems to be just a thing that happens in general with vtubers, but not sure about the utaite community (although there is some overlap.) Yeah, Babymetal fans are a pretty relaxed bunch, especially considering the hell we go through simply because of what Babymetal fucking is by "real" metalheads. It's kind of ridiculous. Still, when you mix a vtuber with literally anything, there's bound to be some people with fucktastically huge egos. Hell, I personally know of a few indies who act this way, but one thing I can say is that you can only give the benefit of the doubt so much. One common thread I see with a lot of indies that I follow and know on a personal basis is that we're all fucked in the head somehow. Why else would we throw on a fucking avatar and put on an act for the camera the way that we do? And yes, some of us have massive fucking ego problems but that isn't really going away. There are plenty of people who get into this for the wrong reasons, that being an attention whore or for easy money. I just do it because it's fucking fun and now I have a lot of other people I work with and a few fans.

Oh yeah, and Mori's birthday set looks fucking amazing, although I really wish they would have something other than the vinyl because...who the fuck owns a vinyl player these days? For me it'll just be a show piece.

Red, by itself, is a fantastic track but the lyrics are pretty not-so-subtle vent as she is wont to do. I have to listen to it a few times to get a really good grasp of it but the imagery is very well-constructed and people have already done breakdowns of the tarot cards shown. As for the lyrics themselves, knowing about how Karen is, it's more or less her talking about the toxic side of her ambition, that being the unfettered workaholism and more importantly, the reason she's the way that she is. It seems like she's so determined to make her mark on the world that she's defined herself through her work to the point that she questions if it's all worth it. Blood turning black happens after it's been oxidized, meaning exposed for quite a bit. She bleeds for her craft, and at the end of the day it's more just "Was this worth it? Doesn't matter, can't stop now." It really is kind of a shitty mindset to have but that doesn't mean she's not actually going to follow her own advice. She's burning the wick at both ends, knows it, and more importantly, can't stop herself.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure blacking out her body but keeping her hair may be a reference to Dice, considering that character's face is completely in shadow with the exception of a smile.

I also see how Capcom's lifting of their restrictions has let all the holos get balls deep into Monster Hunter and I couldn't be happier to see their content on it but holy shit some of them are just so fucking bad at the game. I'm kind of scared to see what Gura's been doing in the game.
