But Jim, that's not a good thing. You're a complete fucking wreck. Putting a Halloween wig on hasn't fixed anything. You're still massively overweight and a basket of mental illnesses you continuously pop pills in an attempt to subdue. You absolutely shouldn't be happy about the way you are.

You are a perfect example of exactly why we don't need these lunatics to be visible: They enable people like you and offer a path of comparably less resistance to actually putting in the real work it would take to fix your mess of a life.

The rant is updated, but he did this same topic except with Nintendo maybe five years ago.

So, Jim bandies on again about his championship belt. He notes he's the "regent" which, based on my degree in Westerosi Cultural Studies, says to me he got to keep it because there's no one around to ask for it back.

As for the topic... I agree that piracy is A-OK. I don't take a moral highground about it though. I stopped pirating when Streaming was in its golden age, and when it turned back into cable, but more expensive, piracy became viable again. Same with games.

One of the issues I have when current Jim talks about games is that I can't shake the feeling he's simply bitter that the bridges he burned last decade didn't regenerate, so he might as well go whole hog and advocate for stealing from the people who won't do business with him. It seems more sour grapes than revolutionary.

Too lazy to make an outro. What a surprise.

Does Jim actually believe he was the only one to point out lootboxes are bullshit? As if it hasn't been the position of every tech YouTuber, clickbait or otherwise, at least since Battlefront 2 happened?

I'm going to throw out this nitpick since I think the main point of the video is pretty obvious.
I feel like people are neglecting the existence of PS Now when talking about the shutdowns. Now has an (incomplete) archive of PS3 games, some of which, like Infamous: Festival of Blood, I have seen in these "Games you have to buy now" articles.
I already pirate games out of convenience and cheapness (and trophy hunting), I don't need to do it to make a statement.

It's worse because Spoony and Angry Joe got to able to interview developers of XCOM Enemy Unknown after the BETRAYAL incident. Jim advocating piracy for games done by Nintendo and Sony is far worse and is going to get the whole industry to turn their back on him.

Friendly reminder that Jim once said that if you can't function without fearing that you'll be put on a blacklist, then why are you trying to be a journalist in the first place, meanwhile, he's stuck rehashing the same old shit because he's unable to do anything new and different since he made bridge burning a hobby.
