I think he played on easy and still had trouble with it, I haven't played the game myself but I remember watching a few LSB restreams where Dave just kept losing his mind because he had to reload the game in order to keep people from dying. I recommend you just look up those because the rest of the playthrough was just him begging and stalling, just like what he does with Daveinity Original Gin 2 right now.

The thing I feel most dumbfounded by is how he literally is incapable of budgeting, muh bidnis duhgree guy was "caught up on his unpaid backtaxes" like two years ago when his parents helped him, you'd think after that he'd learn to set money aside but we're still having to hear about how he really needs the help with tips this week for taxes every fucking month. I note something he said here that I'm pretty sure I've heard before. That he needs the money to pay his back taxes and to make his first quarterly payment, none of which he has apparently ever done.
Yea, he said he made quarterly payments at one point because he was self employed yada yada but at most I can only think of 3 times where he begged for tax money. April, july, and sometime near december. That's not quarterly, so once again this dude is fuckin lying.

He had numerous tax fundraisers, both to pay the taxes and to pay the lawyer/accountant/tax guy. He raised many thousands of dollars. Then when he filed for bankruptcy we learned he didn't really pay any of the taxes because the current AND back taxes were listed as debt. The actual details are a murky mess because Phil lies so much it's not worth tracing. But it's proven he didn't use any of the money for tax payments.

Phil taught me that it's possible to lose during the mock battle on casual mode. He went with the Black Eagles route and he had trouble in most of the battles, especially the final one. He has the same thought process as in the RE2 remake where he couldn't comprehend that the AI can possibly do something different if he does a different thing or does the same thing. What?! But last time, I killed him in 1 hit and this time I miss?! What the fuck!
How the hell. The mock battle is an absolute joke, as is most of the campaign. The only part I had any measure of trouble with was the last one, and that's because I thought you had to wipe the map, not just the boss. 3H was the first FE game I played any signifigant measure of and I considering restarting on a higher difficulty multiple times because of how easy it was.
