the icon is done by an activist episcopalian. its been blessed and is at an episcopalian church in st. louis,mo.

i wonder if the Greek orthodox churches will find more converts.
That "icon" is really really offensive because it's not really depicting Christ. Instead, George Floyd is in his place, which makes it another blasphemous symbol of the apotheosis of Floyd. What Kelly Latimore does not understand is that you cannot label some dude IC XC without that man looking like Christ. Jesus Christ has a face like everyone else, and "representing" that face iconographically by replacing it is wrong. As humans, we are image-bearers of God, but that does not mean our image replaces the image of God.

Kelly Latimore is a hack and you should not support her blasphemous "iconography".

Yes. For some reason most of White America hasn't caught on to how like half of all rappers believe this. Wu Tang and Kendrick Lamar are two that come to mind, Jay Electronica and now by extension Jay Z and Beyonce are all about this shit. Kendrick Lamar is actually one of those Black Israelite guys who thinks Blacks are the real Jews. This would be like if Justin Bieber was out there talking about Hyperborea and how Aryans should rule the world, it's easy to laugh at but I think people underestimate how deep this shit goes into black culture.
Its my favorite pass time to spread the word of Daddy Yakub. Why South Park never covered it is beyond me. Guess we can't have wypipo be aware of dey TROO ORIGINS YOU

Lady on HLN said that the jury didn’t seem as engaged with this police chief dude as they were with the doctor. They must be as bored as we are with this policy bs
I zoned out as soon as he started talking about the transgender community of Minneapolis during the trial of a police officer, so I can't blame them.

Also, any jury member who has ever had to deal with a pill or meth head won't be buying any of this "we need to treat them with dignity and respect!" nonsense. I used to buy that shit too until I had to point a pistol at a junkie to keep him from breaking into my apartment.

The klan is nothing more than a bunch of 70 year old boomers who have BBQs and talk about the good old days. They're so irrelevant that I doubt the alphabet boys even pay much attention to them at this point.
I would think that the alphabet soup of various agencies is the only reason they're still in existence. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if, somewhere down the line, it turned out that half of the remaining members of the Ku Klux Klan were either operatives, informants, agents provocateurs, or all of the above combined in some unholy matrimony.

You don't know the half of it. A significant chunk of the various black advocacy movements were either ran or staffed by members of the many insane cults centred around "Black Israelites", "The Nation of Islam", "Children of Abraham" and various other splinter derivatives. If you read into some of those sects, you'll be quick to realise that Scientology borrowed HEAVILY from them, and that they've been around for a long while - the earliest I came upon were from the 1920s and 1930s. If people who worship "Malcolm X" sat down and took 10 minutes to read what the Nation of Islam actually believes in, I think "Jim Crow laws" would last for many more decades. The truth of the matter is that the black population of the United States, whilst regaining their freedom and individual rights, was doomed from the start to decline and decay into what we see today, since they were essentially being duped by a gaggle of charismatic charlatans and cult leaders.

FYI the Episcopal are barely considered Christians and if they existed in the 1900s they would be viewed as being in direct contradiction to Christ.

They even voted to allow ministers to be gay.

As much as I love all of you, my friends, there is only one, true church. Whatever that woman paints on her canvasses holds no more spiritual value than tissue paper.

I wonder how many jurors work in a jerb where there's a 300-page policy manual that literally nobody follows.

And all of this boils down to the need to de-escalate and use minimal force. Floyd was in a full-on drug induced freakout when Chauvin got there and Chauvin responded by putting him on the ground and pinning him so he didn't flail all over the place.

Like I said upthread, tazing and hogtying Floyd would have been some shit optics.

(And on edit, while we're forming a book club, "Season of the Witch" is brilliant. It talks a lot about the origins of some of the crazier groups coming out of the Bay Area in the 1960s. A deep dive into the beliefs and practices of the Peoples Temple is also well worth anyone's time. The goal of the group was multi-racial socialism, and a lot of the crazier shit was stolen from the Black Panthers.)

I didn't know the Scientology thing, I need to look into that.
One factoid I always like to roll out with my Black Autism is the Zebra Murders. As far as I know there has only been one book written about but, but the short story is: it was a massive murder spree in the late 70s conducted by the Fruit of Islam (NOI offshoot) where they would just go into the street and shoot white people. It was complete and total racially motivated hate crimes, and evidence shows that they gave extra "points" for killing white women and children. They succeeded in killing 15 people in total and wounded 8 others, for a total of 23 victims. I don't have the evidence in front of me right now to verify, but I remember reading that the Nation of Islam is directly responsible for more racially motivated murders than the KKK. But considering how different people count these things differently it might be impossible to know for sure.

If Chauvin had handcuffed, hogtied, and tazed Floyd and his heart had given out (basically guaranteed given the evidence we've seen so far) that would've given waaaay more grounds for a third or even second-degree murder than this dog and pony show.

Is Chauvin on trial for violating police policy or is he on trial for murder? Make up your mind.
The idea is that if he had gone off-book then he was recklessly disregarding the victim's wellbeing and acting outside of his duty as a cop, so the policy-breaking is still relevant.

At present, I see what the prosecution is going for with this line of questioning, but all it does is assert that Chauvin broke the rules. Defense comes back saying he made the call he thought was right in a tense situation, even if it was a bad call, he's on trial for murder.

This is so beyond reasonable doubt it's hilarious. This is a MURDER TRIAL not a "Chauvin did a policy oppsie" trial. Dumbfucks wasting everyone's time because they know they have nothing.
they're trying to build a narrative that chauvin murdered floyd by kneeling on floyds back/neck against policy. is it working? i don't believe it. but my opinion doesn't matter, just the peopel on the jury and who knows what they're thinking right now. 1 thing the jury has over the blm true believer is that the jury have to watch the videos of the bodycam. can't go " i won't watch it, lalala"

Every time you don't fill out a Post-It requisition form in triplicate, in an approved ink a poor defenseless junkie dies. Everyone knows that. Case closed.

So fun fact: Scientology has actually taken over the Nation of Islam. Look up "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath" Season 3 Episode 3 on Netflix and they did an episode about it. Really raised my eyebrows. The long and short of it though is that you get paid a commission for introducing people to the wonderful world of Dianetics. So basically NOI pastors sold out their congregations for money.

Honestly, watching that show has got me thinking "Have we been paying enough attention to Scientology? Could they be pulling the strings on some of this bullshit?". Conspiratorial? Sure. But Scientology can pull some incredible fucking bullshit.
