The UK and it's slavish mental boner for the NHS is genuinely fucking sickening. It really is. The fetishization of Nurses, the way they are fawned over, the fact the whole thing is top heavy and bloated with excessive management with no clinical experience, the wait times, the hit and miss provision over the country, the fact that GP surgeries can, will and do blacklist you for making a sincere complaint about shitty treatment is appalling.


The system in the USA is not perfect, not by a long shot. But you at least don't get lumped into a mixed age ward, with five other people sharing one toilet, and incontinent old cunts shitting on the commode in the cubicle split by just a curtain, then allowed to sleep all night, and rage and scream all night.


The UK health system is a fucking joke, and it is allowed to get away with it because too many Brits are used to shit tier healthcare and conditioned to believe it is superior by sole virtue of it being free at point of access.

And worse, the fatties are still allowed to be the single biggest burden after oldiewonks because god forbid we tell them in blunt, plain terms, the shitey health outcomes which await them.

I was in my local hospital a few years ago and at my age I was considerably younger than the immobile ones with broken hips so was always picking things up and going to the bin for them and I had an 80plus woman in the bed next to me who regularly had diarrhoea, but was never properly washed and the smelle lingered a long time, no curtain could contain that miasma from the area I slept and ate in. And they still gave her lactulose every night.

I hate the scam of having the RGNs and the CAs in similar uniforms so it looks like there are more nursing staff than there really is to the untrained eye. Nurses may have degrees but have no desire to care and care assistants are too busy to provide more than the bare minimum. That 80yo woman, who once drank whisky and rode pillion on her husband's motorbike, who was stunning and slim as a young woman and turned out beautifully hadn't had her hair washed in 8 weeks.

Agree on all you said, something has to change. It'll be nigh on impossible since too many have never had a poor experience like a Dr tearing your child's head off during delivery and not losing their job.

I was in the hospital a few times as a young child, and despite being the only one on the ward the nurses barely paid any attention to me unless I moved and accidentally dislodged one of the IVs/sensors/random tubes. They were generally quite brusque and irritable so I was too scared to ask them for help. Bear in mind- my mum wasn't allowed to be with me all the time so there were long stretches where I was alone with no one to sit with or talk to, stuck in the bed with a bunch of tubes and barely able to move.

Nurses are overworked and some of them are really trying the best that they can, but a lot of them are also fat dumb cunts who can't be bothered to do their jobs properly because they don't want to deal with paperwork. It's the same with nursing homes: for every good, hardworking carer there are 4 who don't give a shit and do the bare minimum, if they're not actively abusing the residents. The immigrant carers and nurses are usually the ones who seem to give more of a shit, especially west indians. There are plenty of stupid, selfish white girls who become carers because they couldn't get a better job and then neglect the people they're supposed to be looking after. Perhaps the NHS should change their strategy and start telling people to lose weight and be healthy now while they are young, so that they don't end up in a horrible state care home or hospital down the line. I think seeing the state of some care homes should be enough to convince anyone to rethink their life choices.

IMO medical staff and personnel should have to stick to health guidelines so that they're not lecturing patients on their weight while being grossly obese themselves. It just doesn't look good, plus they have less energy to be on their feet all day and are more prone to injury.

Not that I don't love to be mean to fat girls, but most of those tik toks just look like post- pregnancy bellies that haven't snapped back yet. (And for most women, they're always going to have a bit of a puckered, loose swinging pouch, even moreso if they have multiple children.) It's just how physics works on skin stretched through pregnancy. It'd be nice if their messages focused on that, though - the part where they could relate to women that yes, just because your body changes doesn't mean you're any less of a worthwhile person (instead of just shouting about how much they love cake.)

A relative used to nurse with a woman who was around 400lbs. Like all people at that weight she had deficits in mobility and personal hygiene and apparently kept applying for nurse specialist positions and going for interviews with her limp, greasy hair and bodily smelle. She couldn't understand why she never got the positions. She was also responsible for advising patients on their health while presenting like this.

One of the UK's leading cancer research charities did attempt to point out that obesity caused more cancer than smoking now and the fats did not take that well. They don't do science well, feels must be protected from those mean old facts and public health information. Same mindset as the troons.
