the US has gone from people genuinely thinking racism was dead and fading just like 2-3 decades ago, to it being a common sentiment that the US is systemically racist and large portions of the white population hate non-whites, and non-whites are justified in their hatred for whites. All while literally no laws have changed, and in fact tons have been added to pressure against/punish racism. Politicians very cannily exploited race as a tool to garner votes, and got so good at it they managed to spark actual racial tension that's now steering towards even worse than what they said it was. like a game of telephone that starts off "im gonna help black people" and ends with "they're gonna put y'all back in chains", and that's not a made up quote.
America is in the midst of a fabricated state of racial tension that was so well done it managed to become real

Putting it that way also raises another point; in police bodycam of his final moments, he can be seen thrashing and fighting to not be put in the patrol car. That would have unironically been better, because he would have violently damaged the car, he wouldn't have been on camera with 50 cameras, one of which was at the perfect angle to make Chauvin look bad, and a heart attack would have been blatantly obvious that it was an overdose. There wouldn't have been a chimpout and I imagine "I CAN'T BREEF" getting you a free trip out of the cop car to calm down ended with Saint Floyd the Breathless. If cops are going to be put through the wringer like this for trying to do the right thing (getting someone having a medical event out of the car), the unspoken lesson all cops are going to take is "don't give the pavement apes an inch because the jews in the media will film it and destroy you for fun and ratings."

I'll bet they looked really hard for witnesses to talk about Chauvin being a bigot. Surely they would have led with that if they had anything at all though.

If he was really that bad, and considering they had prior contact and even worked together, surely there would be stories of animosity or something if it existed. Those would be very easy points which leads me to believe they don't exist. The fact that Chauvin even appeared to hold Floyd's hand might even mean he was a good guy so of course they don't even wanna go near there.
