Every time I stumble accross Wikipedia users blundering their way through "accurately" "reporting" current political events "without bias" I understand more why it can't be used as a source in high school essays. It's just random people writing down whatever is most PC (although most fringe topics not to do with social-political events are still decent).
Check george floyd's wiki. There's no mention of his illustrious rap & porn career

Is this the first time that the position of the knee is analyzed in this trial?
No it's been brought up multiple times the past few days since the body-cams came into evidence. Since then it's been a looping circle with the prosecution and defense over this

P: ITS THE NECK
D: It's The Shoulder
P: ITS THE NECK
D: It's The Shoulder
P: ITS THE NECK
D: It's The Shoulder

repeat ad-nauseam

Another thing that is missing in this prosecution is motive. There has been a ton of emotional appeals, and explanations for why Chauvins actions were double plus bad, but there has been no attempt to ascribe a motive for it. I have always thought "intent to kill" was a critical component of Murder. The very thing that defines it from Manslaughter. Manslaughter you are so recklessly stupid that you end up killing someone. You may not have wanted too, but you did. Murder however needs intent. You meant for the person to die. We are getting none of that. The only side bringing up Chauvins state of mind is the defense.
This is where they fucked up going for a murder conviction instead of manslaughter. They likely could have gotten manslaughter but they were greedy and now its about to bite them in the ass

How did that clip help the PROSECUTION? This bum is arguing and uncooperative and they just want him in the police vehicle, which means ITS GAME OVER for you, you fake bill passing high as a kite drug addict riding with your dealer.
A lot of people don't understand that once the cops are on the scene and paying a LOT of attention to you, you've lost that part of the fight. You're probably going to the station, and you're going to beat whatever rap it is they think they've got you on there and beyond with legal counsel if you've got two braincells to ram together hard enough for a spark.

I love how it's the defence's job to defend Derek no matter his personal feelings on the case because a Just legal system is supposed to have a defence and people on Twitter unironically act like Nelson was standing behind Chauvin's shoulders applying extra force to Floyd's neck.

In my head canon, Nelson did think Chauvin was guilty, but after this trial, he's going full 1488

It doesn't. It could be either intentionally throwing the case or just incompetence but I don't see a conviction coming from this. The longer this goes on the more convinced I get.

I don't know if they have Roof Koreans in Minneapolis but they'd better have something because the chimpout is going to look like Planet of the Apes once the not guilty verdict comes in.

I don't understand why they keep playing him freaking out in the back seat. Nobody in their right mind would have a temper tantrum like that and I'd love to know how exactly that person can be calmed down.

I can guarantee you every hood rat nigger in the country is going to have that kind of tantrum if they're arrested for the next 20 years. Especially if there are cameras. They saw that it works to get you out of the car, and if they can get out of the car, that means you're not arrested, right? Ook ook logic.

And even if it doesn't, it looks really bad for the whypypo cops, and they might be able to get 27 million dollahs for like, suffering and sadness and sheet.

The subtext of the prosecution's argument regarding not doing first aid or CPR before the ambulance got there is cops should ignore an angry crowd which emboldens it and if they work themselves up to where they mob the cops well shit happens acab

Exhibit A. September of last year. Lady freaks the fuck out when police pull her over saying her car is in their system as stolen. Turns out it was in their system because her boyfriend used her car in a drive by shooting. Her performance allowed him to flea the scene while she's arrested for her behavior. I think at some point she starts saying she can't breathe

Here she is apologizing at intake lol

ETA: I forgot she tries to DRIVE AWAY WITH THE CAR DOOR OPEN AND POLICE HANGING OUT OF THE CAR lol she's lucky she wasn't shot
