Looking at politics, NY is like California. This isn't the 80s with Giuliani nor the 2000s with Arnold. Republicans would have to push limits to even have an inkling of a thought at winning, Independents have a better shot. Who knows? We might see the inverse of Trump-era Independents and Democrats, who "promise to be bipartisan, for the people, and really couldn't care less about President Biden's character, actions, or agenda," ala Sinema and Whitmer respectively, if I recall correctly.
But these are all words on a chubby guy who fled to Eastern Europe's forum. I'll see it when I see it, and I'll laugh when the Twitter "populists" and pseudo-cons think the grifting candidates are based or some other nonsense.
