Plagued Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Behold! The funko God.
I was half amazed half horrified so I looked him up. Here's an article:

Paul found his time spent collecting helped him cope with some personal changes.

After he'd collected a few, he began displaying them at the Mental Health Clinic he works at.

While Paul’s collection highlights one passion, he is also a clinical social worker who is passionate about social justice and equality.

He spends a lot of time supporting mental health causes and initiatives in addition to services for at risk youth.

While housing over 5,000 Funko Pop! figurines may seem daunting, Paul has a very organized system in place to keep track of his purchases and storage.
I assumed he was some rich dude but he's a social worker, wtf? He also bought them all in 3 years, assuming $10 each that's like $17k per year on the things.

Obessed with spending money on funkos and also social justice. Is like they live to prove low effort straw men right.

As a social worker his salary as well as all those funkos are paid with taxpayer money. No wonder, these are the types that want Moar money for dem programs !!! since it means more funkos for him.

I found these horrifying pod people
They seemingly go to Disney parks to buy.. And buy.. And buy, barely remembering what they've bought. The male has a typical soy face while the female has a stare that's simultaneously manic and vacant.

When they're not buying stuff at the parks, they are ordering more shit in the mail. I watched a little bit of the Halloween video, which was mainly them showing off children's candy containers that purchased and being sad that they didn't realize one of the containers was actually a set and therefore they didn't buy the other ones in the set because they didn't know they existed (no they don't have children)

I should say something about this frightening display of what Disney Parks spergs can be like, but I'm too busy laughing at how the guy's cartoon avatar looks like The Quartering if he was a Disney mega-consoomer.

I'll admit it, this thread has gotten me to re-evalute my opinions on collecting. I'm understanding more why some of you were comparing collecting to hoarding. Many of the consoomers in this thread have definitely convinced me there's no difference between their "collections" and CWC's hoard.

I love how every picture of them together, including the profile pic, has the woman staring off somewhere else. Like she knows she would much rather fuck Tyrone off in the distance buying Fanta at a food stand at the Disney park then this guy who won’t shut up about Star Wars and Marvel movies.

Why is it that nearly every single one of these guys have glasses and and a beard?

Does bad eyesight really fuck you up that badly or are they just wearing them because it fits the "Nerd" stereotype that people are trying to pass off as cool nowadays?

And you would think having full on facial hair would be the epitome of manliness, but these guys somehow take that aspect of themselves and turned it into the opposite.

Also Funko Pops just irritate me on some level. They all look the same with those soulless black eyes and their deformed heads. Like no thought or imagination was put into their design and somehow they've become as popular as Beanie Babies. Which... now that I think about it, are just miniature teddy bears... Huh. Why were those things as popular as they were?

If they really needed glasses, they wouldn’t be using goofy oversized ones like that guy’s wearing so my honest assumption is they’re probably fake like a lot of bug man glasses. And yeah it just fits the nerd stereotype.

He needs them. You can tell he's nearsighted by the way the glasses are distorting the sides of his face. I think they're just ugly and unconcerned with fashion. All their soy filled peers have beards and black oversized glasses, so they think it's acceptable and looks good.

As far as I am aware, those frames are what is currently "on trend" and all the optometrists carry minor variations of those frames.

I find them more tolerable than the Asian coomer Harry Potter glasses that are gigantic literal circles.

The collecting-> hoarding pipeline is what bothers me. Especially the "collecting" of perishable items like my rant on glass collecting

Maybe I'm overreacting and being autistic. But if people buy a bottle of perfume so they can resell the bottle, they should take the perfume out... like at least alcoholics empty out their bottles before they sell them. Ergo these idiot make-up/fragrance collectors are worse than alcoholics.

I also consider Funko Pops to be "perishable" since they're so specific. They're not generic cliches or cute animals. Tony Stark will just be a plastic chunk shaped like some dude once everyone forgets about comics.

When consoomerist whoredom meets betacuck copium.

Maybe theres an Onlythots compilation thread somewhere. There is potential in this dumpster fire category.
I've found a bunch while grabbing things for the sugar baby thread. I'm not sure if that's the right place for them or if it warrants a splinter thread.

Bad eyesight does fuck you up in a lot of ways (I cn elaborate if anyone is genuinely curious) but I really think these guys just gave up on life. I think the beards are a desperate attempt to reclaim masculinity.

I've said this before in another thread, but I like those glasses because I'm blind as all fuck without glasses and they provide a greater field of view. It annoys the shit out of me that these glasses are popular in the same types of people who told me NOT to wear them when I was younger.
