Do redditors think Canadians have different biology than Americans?
Yes, what with your beady little eyes and flapping heads R5c1c28d657789dfb96c2fd301a189dd2.jpeg

Man this is absolutely brutal for the defense right now, he just put the kibosh on the heart attack narrative.

everyone has noted how different his testimony from the paid experts is so far, and I'm sure the Jury is too

This is the best one for the prosecution so far in establishing that yes, Chauvin absolutely kill Floyd.

I didn't see the expert Irish witness yesterday, but my family have been watching the trial a lot and the guy seems to have made a big impact on them.

I assume that was the goal of the prosecution, whether what he was saying was legit or not, a layperson might not know and maybe they're hoping the guy was interesting and engaging enough to get the jury to believe whatever point they are trying to make.

I'm watching the medical examiner rn live on court TV and he seems to at least be professional. Before he started his testimony there was some interview with another guy and they criticised the autopsy for saying whoever wrote it didn't watch the videos of what happened to Floyd before making the report.

Nigga it's called professional practice. He has to be unbiased. He testified just that after as well. So far I can't see any issue with what he's said.

Prone position is highly dangerous, probably didn't help Floyd's heart at all when combined with the stress of everything happening to him.

Whether this means the police killed him or not, legally, I have no clue. America legal kiwis please respond.

So, from my understanding, it can be said either way that if Chauvin hadn't kept the knee there, he wouldn't have died. Although, if he also weren't on those drugs or had the underlying issues in the first place, then he would've been more than capable of handling laying like that for so long.
Edit: fixing grammar

His heart gave out because he was freaking out from being arrested, drugs probably made him freak out more than he normally would and made his physiology more vulnerable. Surprise surprise.

Sounds like some big ol reasonable doubt.
His hearting giving out from Chauvin pinning him down specifically makes it murder or manslaughter.

Your physiology being more vulnerable isn't an excuse for someone if they harm or kill you in a crime or tort or otherwise.

In american law you take your victim as you find them, his underlying issues do not excuse Chauvin's actions.

Lmao you can't even prove it was specifically because of Chauvin or because of the general stress of the arrest. He was already screaming about breathing problems before he got in the car. There is so much reasonable doubt here that you're clinging to straws.

Also still waiting for the proof that Chauvin and the other cops who are being charged as accessories planned to murder Floyd for buying bananas with counterfeits.

if nelson cant get anything out of cross, itll probably be over. at that point its a "chauvin followed police policy"

If the act of being arrested killed him, then its not Chauvins fault because it would have happened with any cop.
