Yes, but then you have to get to a reasonable use of force analysis, I think thats a -really- hard place to take for Chauvin and not a one I think a jury will endorse.

I don't think people are going to think Chauvin kneeing on Floyd until he dies and Bob the Policeman capping some nig who is going for him with a knife the same way
"Reasonable use of force analysis" was exactly what was happening for the first 7 days and I don't think even you will disagree that the prosecution was at its weakest during that period.

I think that was rough mainly because the structure of everything was backwards. I think you need to first establish that Chauvin did the killing, and then establish the force was unreasonable, it keys the jury in to think a certain way.

Doing it the opposite was a really bad tactical mistake from the prosecution, it may not matter because Chauvin is a very unsympathetic defendant.

They are clearly saving their best cards for the end. Their force assessment witnesses were trash but their homicide establishing ones were much better. They want to imprint the impact of the very fact that the death was caused by Chauvin on the jury because they know that it's something they have the best shot at proving given all the data.

At the age of 6 or 7 George Perry Floyd wrote an essay where he says that he wants to become a Supreme Court Judge.
His teacher back then thought it was so special that she kept it all the time.
George Floyd's essay looks so well preserved that you would think it was written yesterday. It's unbelievable.
