simpler games like NES games are generally easier to corrupt because there's less variables that would make the game crash immediately, but they've all been done to death nowOkay, gonna try and rerail this derailed thread
Has anyone tried corrupting anything with RTC and gotten anything good besides a dumb noise or two? Does anyone know the math behind good corruptions etc?
I never really bothered trying out the RTC yet but I might give it a try tomorrow, probably using NES games at first since snowey mentioned that they are easier to corrupt.Okay, gonna try and rerail this derailed thread

Narry knows a thing or two since he's involved with the development. Could have some luck asking them.Okay, gonna try and rerail this derailed thread

I believe someone with 6502 ASM knowledge has been doing some manual "corruptions" for the past months. Some stuff just looked way too scripted yes. I mean, as long as it's funny, why not? It's more or less the same thing. Make game do what's not intended by changing bytes in memory. Better than earrape diarrhea if you ask me.While we're on the subjects of corruptions. Does anyone else think they're getting a little more...staged, lately. At least with the NES/SNES games. I know you gotta keep them interesting but there's gotta be something fucky happening in that code in order to make it say "booti play dmc2" or whatever.
Yeah ive thought that, but it *could* be corrupted to say that, like manipulation through corruption, but at that point wouldnt it kinda just be editing code, not corrupting it?While we're on the subjects of corruptions. Went and archived the last 15 or so minutes of that stream. Had to split it into 2 parts.
Joel is too pure for this cruel worldWent and archived the last 15 or so minutes of that stream. Had to split it into 2 parts.

This is a goddamn classic. My favorite thing about Joel is that as a wrestling fan, he doesn't know SHIT about wrestling. And that's what makes it even better. Jerma at least has a very good degree of wrestling knowledge to the point where I think he's actually a fan.
His Hogan impression is the worst I've ever heard (It's basically just a Macho Man Impression), he knows zero moves (he just calls things 'a big jump'), and yet it's so endearing.
His shitty wrestling game and obviously Vinewrestle streams are among my favorites.
His lack of knowledge is what makes them great imo, and he obviously puts a lot of time into character creation etc enough for the fans and fun of it tho, ie Tongo winning last year's vinewrestle and them getting the shit beaten it of him afterwards because that's not how it was supposed to goMy favorite thing about Joel is that as a wrestling fan, he doesn't know SHIT about wrestling. Hogan? Who's Hogan? I only know about THE ONE AND ONLY Bulk Bogan, OOOOH YISSS! THE MOOSKLES! Memes aside, he also makes some pretty damn good music, that is if you are into thrash metal of course. My favorite thing about Joel is that as a wrestling fan, he doesn't know SHIT about wrestling. Who's Joel? I only know Billy.Wow scythelords pretty good, i think Joel would be into them.
You know the counting mini game from Pokemon Stadium 2? I wanted to corrupt it slightly so all of the baby Pokemon would multiply and make Vinny count all of the baby Pokemon but I didn't know how to save the corruption.Okay, gonna try and rerail this derailed thread

Joel talks about his personal life so rarely it's hard to figure out what he does outside of streaming. I know at some point years ago he had a warehouse job driving a forklift out of high school, then he was in college in some capacity for a bit after that, and since then I honestly don't know what he does during the day when not streaming.Joel mentioned in the stream the other night that he streams just for fun and might be too busy to stream while working on the band and I got to wonder, does Joel have some other form of income outside of streaming? If not then he's really lucky that he maintains his sub count when he goes on frequent breaks.
With how erratically he streams and and all the crazy different times he goes live I would assume he doesn't have a job but you never know I guess.Joel talks about his personal life so rarely it's hard to figure out what he does outside of streaming.
