Okay, gonna try and rerail this derailed thread

Has anyone tried corrupting anything with RTC and gotten anything good besides a dumb noise or two? Does anyone know the math behind good corruptions etc?

simpler games like NES games are generally easier to corrupt because there's less variables that would make the game crash immediately, but they've all been done to death now

I never really bothered trying out the RTC yet but I might give it a try tomorrow, probably using NES games at first since snowey mentioned that they are easier to corrupt.

While we're on the subjects of corruptions. Does anyone else think they're getting a little more...staged, lately. At least with the NES/SNES games. I know you gotta keep them interesting but there's gotta be something fucky happening in that code in order to make it say "booti play dmc2" or whatever.

Narry knows a thing or two since he's involved with the development. Could have some luck asking them.
Besides, if I ever tried it was an old version. I could never find the stuff others find.

I believe someone with 6502 ASM knowledge has been doing some manual "corruptions" for the past months. Some stuff just looked way too scripted yes. I mean, as long as it's funny, why not? It's more or less the same thing. Make game do what's not intended by changing bytes in memory. Better than earrape diarrhea if you ask me.

Yeah ive thought that, but it *could* be corrupted to say that, like manipulation through corruption, but at that point wouldnt it kinda just be editing code, not corrupting it?

My favorite thing about Joel is that as a wrestling fan, he doesn't know SHIT about wrestling. And that's what makes it even better. Jerma at least has a very good degree of wrestling knowledge to the point where I think he's actually a fan.

His Hogan impression is the worst I've ever heard (It's basically just a Macho Man Impression), he knows zero moves (he just calls things 'a big jump'), and yet it's so endearing.

His shitty wrestling game and obviously Vinewrestle streams are among my favorites.

His lack of knowledge is what makes them great imo, and he obviously puts a lot of time into character creation etc enough for the fans and fun of it tho, ie Tongo winning last year's vinewrestle and them getting the shit beaten it of him afterwards because that's not how it was supposed to go

Hogan? Who's Hogan? I only know about THE ONE AND ONLY Bulk Bogan, OOOOH YISSS! THE MOOSKLES! Memes aside, he also makes some pretty damn good music, that is if you are into thrash metal of course.

You know the counting mini game from Pokemon Stadium 2? I wanted to corrupt it slightly so all of the baby Pokemon would multiply and make Vinny count all of the baby Pokemon but I didn't know how to save the corruption.
This was years ago and I figured that it wasn't worth it and dropped it so I don't remember what corruptor I used.
I also tried corrupting the Pokemon Joel fan game (with permission from the dev) but all I could get was the game freezing in the same place every time.

Obvious throwaway account is obvious.
I've been lurking this thread as a bile fascination for awhile now, but I thought I'd chime in a bit.
I've been a watcher for awhile, but a few years ago when I acted a lot more trollishly, I started to interact with the Vinesauce community, and eventually got into a dumb beef with Vinny.
Eventually I got so annoying (and somewhat misanthropic with my trollish behaviour) that I got banned from a few channels and told by Vinny himself that I should "lurk moar", which I've kept true to since then.
I just wanted to say that even as someone who got on Vinny's bad side , I hope the best for him. Even from my caustic interactions from him, I can tell that even if can have a bit of a temper (at least back then), he's a well meaning guy who probably wouldn't actively try to hurt anyone.

Though I do really regret the way I acted back then, at least I can sleep at night knowing that I was never one of those obsessive fans with a creepy fascination with Vinny or other team members, writing slashfics or getting into other obviously inappropriate stuff relating to the streamers personalities. I feel like that kind of parasocial shit is what lead to what we have today with people getting sexually interested in some e-celeb that they shouldn't pursue.
All the rumors and evidence point to that he *may* have had consensual sex with fans and ghosted them. If true, that's kind of an asshole thing to do (by ghosting), but nothing cancel-worthy or even drama inducing, let alone "abusive" like some select brainlets try to assert.
Either way, it's really none of our business where he sticks his italian sausage. Unless he's done something seriously wrong, Vinny as a person is something that we should keep separate from the epic speen streamer, as he's wisely tried to do all this time.

Joel mentioned in the stream the other night that he streams just for fun and might be too busy to stream while working on the band and I got to wonder, does Joel have some other form of income outside of streaming? If not then he's really lucky that he maintains his sub count when he goes on frequent breaks.

Joel talks about his personal life so rarely it's hard to figure out what he does outside of streaming. I know at some point years ago he had a warehouse job driving a forklift out of high school, then he was in college in some capacity for a bit after that, and since then I honestly don't know what he does during the day when not streaming.

With how erratically he streams and and all the crazy different times he goes live I would assume he doesn't have a job but you never know I guess.
