Very interesting that right after noting his YouTube money dropped by half, at no point in the following rambling did "Stop spending as much" cross his lips. Just an inevitability that he would have to rack up all the credit card debt. Nothing he could do(TM).
Don't you know? Phil has to spend his precious donated tard bucks on the hottest new games every month to provide us with those juicy day one views! No clue where the other thousands go, though, Quite mysterious.

EDIT: TAX Talk. He didnt pay his tax guy, didnt pay his quarterly state taxes.
Maybe next month he will get a "cheap 300dollars" laptop.

"April is tax time."
"I thought two months ago that it will be fine but unexpected thing came up".
Phil never said he would be fine, he always said he was going to need help with his taxes in April/May. This was the explicit reason stated for why no stream improvements can't take place until the summer, and it was stated in January.

Nice little retcon to make it sound like he was completely blindsided by this unexpected thing - he most definitely was not. He also knew he was not because he specifically said he hadn't followed the payment plan that the tax guy laid out for him. How do you think you're going to be fine if you've slacked on your payments? This begging was the plan the whole time. In addition to that, he begged for money to cover the "unexpected thing" and got the money. So the issue was negated.

But honestly, if he hasn't paid his tax guy after all this, after not following his payment schedule, after all the extra income on top of what he was already asking for... he is not scaling his spending as I said earlier. He's already severely fucking up again and getting bodied by his addiction.

This seems like a throwaway comment, but really... does he expect that guy to do the tax work without pay? He gets upset when he doesn't get $100 for 2 hours of Call of Duty, and he expects this tax guy to do all this work when Phil owes him $1000? Did he beg the guy? Or has Phil already caved and is using a predatory credit card to cover it? Or has he lied about it right from January and the guy will let him pay over time? This is one of those narrative breaking lies that he just glosses over - the tax saga literally cannot continue with the tax guy unpaid. Anything that makes it move forward means Phil is either digging himself a hole again, or he is a complete fraud.

Remember, as @Comma pointed out, the vest streak was supposed to be unprecedented, but Phil is currently making more monthly than he made during the vest streak. He has absolutely no excuses for this state of affairs. We're talking about well over $15k in excess money having gone missing in the span of 4 months, with none of his additional expenses covered.
Very interesting that right after noting his YouTube money dropped by half, at no point in the following rambling did "Stop spending as much" cross his lips. Just an inevitability that he would have to rack up all the credit card debt. Nothing he could do(TM).
This story making (some) sense also hinges on one crucial omission - he begged and received amounts to address these crises as they came up. His fans gave him thousands to do things like pay his taxes, almost every time he asked. Here, he says he had to borrow to cover everything. He can't even try to account for the whereabouts of the money injections he received - years of fan support has just disappeared from the story.

But don't worry OiC. I'm sure we're just kids who don't understand. You just keep stepping up for Phil. There's no vicious cycle here.

What's the point of a tip goal even? Might as well make it
"?/As much as possible" instead of "?/100$"
I swear, he thinks these people have infinite money but just choose not to give it to him for some reason.

It’s funny you mention the Tips Goal limit because I was thinking about the shift from having the word “Tips” with no actual monetary goal (implemented from 2016ish-2019) to adding the /$100 at the end of the “Tips” metric on the Paypigboard sometimes in 2019. I don’t remember the specific event which precipitated Phil’s lazy mind to add the /$100 but I think this mindset regarding this specific issue is interesting to delve into a bit deeper as it gives us some more insight as to how Phil sets himself up for instant gratification regardless of long-term consequences.

Judging from the pig’s mindset, he originally intended to not have an arbitrary amount of money attached to the daily Tips barometer; a crude way to engineer a stream’s level of support by using money as the end-all, be-all of which playthroughs the tards enjoy the most (at least according to Phil’s incredibly greedy mind). Of course, this was originally motivated out of sheer greed — not adding an arbitrary goal at the end of the word “Tips” subtly hinted that all and any amount of tips were expected, no limits imposed.

This methodology produced very uneven results. Some days Phil consistently made over $100; other days, he could barely break out of the sub-$50 range. This “crisis” was exacerbated in 2018-2019 during the COD Black Ops 4 streams where we got some of the juiciest begging segments of Phil’s Twitch career.

A few events related to certain playthroughs motivated Phil to attach an arbitrary monetary goal, specifically the Minecraft streams where the highest tipping paypig would get to pick a monument of his own to be crafted. More importantly, such playthroughs demonstrated that certain goals and competitions centered around money incentivized people to actually donate... you know, instead of lazily plastering the word “Tips” on your OBS layer and waiting for people to give you money simply for parking your fat ass on your cum-stained couch.

Phil realized that having a limit on the Tips Goal would be better than not having one in terms of consistency. After all, in the pig’s mind, making at least $100 every stream was better than not making $100. Not one to think of potential self-inflicted limitations by one’s own machinations and neither weighing the positive and negatives of such an impactful decision, Phil has been plastering the /$100 limit on the whoreboard ever since then.

To be honest, I was surprised it took him this long to attach a number to the word “Tips.” Psychologically, seeing a number that must be met is always more incentivizing in enticing people to be proactive in reaching artificially created goals, even moreso when talking about the cadre of literal retards who routinely donate to Phil. I’m sure seeing the label “Tips Goal: $0/$100” evoked some type of autistic response to “help Phil our” within the minds of some very special people.

The issue with this arbitrary number is that he’s now stuck with it. Tips slow to a trickle once he makes the $100 he’s looking for. I always thought a good way to judge Phil’s true tip amount for the day was to always subtract the biggest tip from the total since in 90% of the time, a habitual whale is most likely holding the top tipper position, completely skewing the actual amount of real support. Moreover, given the current way Phil is given money, by a few whales, such a number actually discourages most people to tip since they know some idiot is going to cover most of it. We see that big tips both frustrate and rejoice Phil because even though he’s made his hundred bucks, people are going to be reluctant to give him more money since it clearly states /$100.

The central question around the Tips Goal is when can we expect it to be raised? I’m assuming that it’s not going to stay constant, the pig is too money hungry for it remain just at $100. Excuses such as tax payments and unforeseen emergencies have been harder to come up with and justify ever since the granting of his bankruptcy but I wouldn’t be surprised if cost of living and other unnamed expenses would justify it to be raised to $125 or $150. The Vest Streak also demonstrated Phil’s insatiable lust for money and the subsequent creation of pseudo-goals, unstated goals such as wearing two vests for $200, wearing jeans for $300, and the cowboy hat for $400 (the complete utter and lack of effort in terms of rewards is peak Philism right here, gotta love it). The creation and inclusion of such goals is implied that Phil expects such amounts of money every stream since there are rewards for each tier of laziness being met.

The Tips Goal limit has ultimately been beneficial for the pig but sustainability is the biggest issue at hand. When Phil’s reliance for the majority of his income has shifted from hundreds of people to a handful of individuals, the expected level of money to be wrangled from the ‘tards is on borrowed time. This money bonanza will eventually dwindle away, gradually and persistently. And it’s going to create some amazing begging segments fueled by his withdrawals from the expected daily cash infusions.

The stupidity of the lies Philip wants people to believe is exceptionally insulting at this point. From dropped inputs and lag in games where he does horribly to the well documented yet somehow enigmatic state of affairs that is his finances that leaves him penniless constantly. All that, and the only one who truly gives a shit about how bad the truth is would be himself as his diehard fans are in this ride till the end and everyone else is laughing their asses off at how transparent this man's lies are. The more laughable irony here is that he would be a somewhat sympathetic person if he was as honest with people as he pretended he was and probably receive lucrative help and it would possibly erode some of the toxicity he displays towards everything from other content creators to game developers and might actually attract some sponsorship.

The sad thing is that these are the lazy methods that worked. What's even worse were the far lazier means that he attempted that failed. Let's not forget "I bought a chair that swivels and I will spin around if we meet the tip goal." Or "if we hit the tips goal I will spritz myself in the face." Even better there was "hey, remember that vest streak. That was pretty cool. Let's attempt Vest Streak 2: Electric Boogaloo."

It's like he forgot what a real incentive looked like for a videogame streamer that didn't involve wearing a piece of clothing(that has nothing to do with videogames).
It really does lay at the heart of what makes me so motherfucking angry at him. Like I've worked for tips. I tip way too hard at restaurants. I know how it goes. That also means when I throw streamers money, which is to say pretty much never. It is because they have sufficiently entertained me. Which is to say when you have done something in a game that has impressed me. Beat a game, have a buck. 1cc a level, have a buck. You get the idea.

But he really just expects money for existing. Like his "pay for me to keep streaming" is vile. Thats why ads exist. Thats your wage asshole. If its not enough, then be more entertaining. And because we know thats actually not possible. Get a different job. Because the begging is disgusting.

As it has been mentioned a million times around the tism vortex, adults don't come to strangers with their problems. Like thats a real thing Phil. I know some scummy business owners. And you know what, he still has to sell me something. Sometimes its a real pity buy. Ive been on some really failing book stores and been like ah this paperback might be something I could possibly read. But if you have nothing I want? Then get fucked. I hate to see a book store close, but, and this is the important part, you gotta offer something people want.

Way old but this was on my Youtube feed and I couldn't help but laugh at how awkward and uncomfortable Dave sounds talking about Khet here, he almost sounds like he doesn't even believe what he's saying

What the fuck is wrong with this dude

Phil just thanked RipleyAtomic out of nowhere for tipping today, saying that 'nobody else really tipped'.
First of all, significant disrespect to the other $12 in tips in favor of Ripley's $94. But today underscores that Phil is starting the gradual move of the baseline goalposts.

For a while, after a big event that brought in some money, like his birthday week and the random $700 stream, Phil would brush off a slower stream like last night's CoD, saying you can't hit the tips goal all the time. Today? Today we need to make up for that immediately. All preceding days where he was almost 4x on his tips goal for the day were immediately memoryholed. He is now starting to contain each day exclusively and expects his fans to do the same. Only low days are remembered because they need to be immediately offset, but days where he was over are burned. He's been working on this one for a while, but after this last week, to come in so hot on the begging today because last night was slow shows that he is really pushing to normalize that.

On top of that, his comment about nobody else tipping is Phil starting to push out the tips goal goalposts - it's now not enough to hit that target. If there is a large tip, yes, Phil expects more because that was just one person. People should still be tipping if they were going to tip.

Phil did not even really play the tax card today. This is all just cold-begging based on this stream alone. The currently displayed tips goal is now not sufficient to stem his begging, without reason given. Phil has already established in February that his tips goals are more than enough to cover his monthly expenses, as a slight increase can allow him to handle major additional expenses - this too has been forgotten. He is exceeding his tips goals for the month and is openly begging with no stated reason.

This means that Phil has done it again - he has scaled his spending to the amount of money he is making, which is now in excess of the vest streak. Further, he is now taking his whales completely for granted. Phil seems to be expecting the regular whales to pop in to hit the tips goal, and is now expecting others to continue to tip anyway. If he had half a brain, he'd realize that his audience has been trained to see the goal as 'the goal' for any given stream, and no matter who hits it, it's done. He was given a few days of excess over the goal... scaled his spending... and is now trying to set an expectation of excess every stream. I wouldn't be surprised if we're cruising towards a $150 tips goal so that Phil can cover taxes and 'start to pay for improvements'. Neither will get done and that money will keep disappearing.

He's not even trying to check his addictions - and accordingly, there is no ceiling to the begging,
Remember how the vest streak died because he took like 2 days off for his ear and he overplayed his hand by asking whales to double dip to “make up” for the “lost” vests, leading to them being tapped out for Paper Mario finale?

Phil sure doesn’t because this level of whalecash-wringing is just like that.

It’s not like history repeats itself or anything though.

Yes because blaming all your problems on everyone but yourself and perpetually "kicking the can down the road" for some miracle whale to show up and hopefully fund his retirement is very grown up of Phil, OnlyIcedCuck.
phil has been kicking the can for more than a decade

He needs TIPS, not subs. OIC already has that covered so no need to beg the wheelchairs to hit the subs goal. Also, being late to a stream or missing one is fine, as long as you make up for it by dropping a BIG JUICY TIP during the stream you were late to or on the next one. Just lurking is also fine, in fact Dave's ideal viewer is a guy who shows up, drops a hundo, then leaves.

DEBUNKED!

Ok his comment about him not being responsible for overspending, and that its the trolls and youtubes fault for his lack of spending money makes me 100% believe he is on the autistic spectrum, probably aspergers. Not trying to power level here but I have a recreational therapy degree, and worked with kids and adults with mental impairments like autism, aspergers (a type of high functioning autism), and other mental impairment disorders. Phil displays similar symptoms with people with aspergers, and I can say it is heavily indicated that he might be on the spectrum. Look at these examples of symptoms you might find in people with aspergers.

"They're just as smart as other folks, but they have more trouble with social skills. They also tend to have an obsessive focus on one topic or perform the same behaviors again and again."
He brings up detractors all the time, talks about his past all the time, and does his rocking, beard strokes, and other ticks over and over. Plus he burps into the mic all the time like he doesnt really understand why that may be disgusting. Yet he knows and still does it, indicating his lack of social skills.

"You may also find that your child seems awkward in social situations and doesn't know what to say or how to respond when someone talks to them."
He gets defensive, lies, and embellishes the way he talks when speaking to his audience, like instead of ignoring troll messages he reads them and tries to justify his answer. Even though most people would just ignore them.

"If your child has the condition, they may talk about themselves most of the time and zero in with a lot of intensity on a single subject, like rocks or football stats. And they might repeat themselves a lot, especially on a topic that they're interested in. They might also do the same movements over and over."
Again the repetition of talking about his past exploits, trolls, and other meaningless crap. And how he says trolls dont bother him, but is so intense if he gets a message from a troll and needs to spend too much time on it.

"They also may dislike change. For instance, they may eat the same food for breakfast every day or have trouble moving from one class to another during the school day."
Phil hates to change his stream format, like how it took forever to use a capture device or using a camera for YEARS. He has a schedule for his meals on a calendar like who has a meal calendar unless you are dieting and lets face it he doesn't diet. Also how he complains about changing his days off because of his "WiFe" which is weird to bitch about. People's schedules change all the time at a job, yet he complains if his day off changes.

That being said I am not a doctor but a recreational therapist who sees patients like this all the time. Phil is probably on the spectrum like on the aspergers level. Now some might say he is a spoiled child, but usually those kids out grow that mentality when they are adults especially at 39 yrs old. Plus his behavior hasn't really change in years which leads me to believe that its not the result of his environment but he himself having aspergers. The thing is people with aspergers can be nice and sensitive people, but other times they can be like DSP, especially if his parents didn't know or care he had a condition. Also people with aspergers can be quite smart, so having a valedictorian title or college degree doesn't mean you don't have it. Remember aspergers is a behavioral impairment, doesn't mean you are dumb just a lack of social skills average people may have.

Also he said he was on a cocktail of medications in high school. Why would his parents put him on medication? Probably since he was a kid he was awkward, and unfortunately a lot of doctors would misdiagnosed kids with aspergers as a "chemical imbalance" or just being hyper active so they would give them drugs to calm them down. The fact Phil never said why he was on a cocktail of medications makes me believe strongly that he was misdiagnosed with some "child awkwardness" condition or he had aspergers and they gave him medication to sedate his awkward behavior. Again I could be wrong but he displays asperger symptoms pretty damn well.

I'm not trying to diminish your post or credentials in anyway, but you don't need any kind of training or experience to see that Phil has a touch of the 'tism.

no you are right but it helps if a person with expertise supports the idea that has some sort of 'tism
Just like the "cocktail of medications" that he supposedly took in high school, he also has a cocktail of sick-in-the-head mental illnesses, many of which have spiraled completely out of control ever since he became a shut-in which only made his delusions worse. Like I mentioned sometime earlier, I had a lot of experience dealing with a narcissist when growing up and a lot of the other cows I follow are narcissists, I know how they tick and Dave went from being a mild narcissist way back in the day to the narc monster he has become now. You could almost use him as a textbook example for it.
He's also got a massive victim complex, not that that is a surprise. In the psychology thread I've made a post about a "newly discovered" disorder called TIV or Tendency of Interpersonal Victimhood. Now there's a lot of dimensions to it, but one of the easiest ways to see if someone has TIV or not is whether they perceive themselves as an agent or object, or more plainly speaking whether they the see themselves as someone who acts upon the world or someone who gets acted upon. Phil is definitely the latter, it's always someone else who either fucks him over, like da trollz, the booksmart nudniks at Google, Machinima, the theks guy etc. or it's someone else who was the one who stuck it to the detractors by proving he did nothing wrong and that there was nothing he could do, like the bankruptcy court.
