US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

As much as I like the updates, I feel like a lot of these foreign conflict posts should have their own thread, then have crossposting when it specifically involves Biden.
In a way though it very much has to do with Biden. Russia/China/NK always have a pattern of stress-testing newly seated US presidents but I can't recall seeing it be quite this noticeable and quite this bold in the past. They seem to really feel confident that if anyone will make a fuckup to their advantage it's Biden.

An interesting take. I wonder what his [Manchin's] ulterior motive is.
Probably not presiding over a civil war. I think that one is a safe bet.

It's also probably a play to raise his status to potentially make a run for the Oval Office someday. Manchin has always been in the news but his star has risen significantly on the heels of his independent streak over the last couple years. I think a lot of people respect him more than your average politician, even if they disagree with him or outright dislike him.

A lot of WV republicans have respect for him and there's a small push going on to get him to change parties. The only West Virginians I know that absolutely hate him are white (mostly female) progressives.

I have caught up and after reading the last several pages of this thread this sums up my feelings about this train wreck of an administration (because we know the senile old douchebag isn't in charge, not by a long shot):

Wait which Moore accuser was this? There were multiple, though yeah many were questionable.
The one during his 2017 election or whatever who's only evidence was a yearbook with his signature. Even her son believed it was forged.
TBH Crimea got a large Russian population due to Stalin and Beria resettling hundreds of thousands of people of Crimean population (mostly Tatars but also Greeks and Armenians) to other corner of USSR, and then re-populating the place with Russians.
In it's history Crimea was under control of ancient Greek city-states, Byzantine empire, Kievian kingdom, Mongol empire, Ottoman empire, Rusian empire and USSR was only the last stage of the whole thing
My favorite group to inhabit Crimea has to be the Crimea Goths. Shame they died out by the 18th century.
Biden's advisors and Kamala Harris(I.E the people really running the show in the white house right now)obviously have differences of opinion among themselves about what should be done both domestically and foreign policy wise. Since Biden is mentally incapacitated, he can't properly captain the ship as it were and that results in the actions we're seeing now.
An interesting take. If we could divine into the Biden Administration I expect a solid chunk of their blunders are these conflicting interests. The question is who are these figures and who they represent.
An interesting take. I wonder what his ulterior motive is.
Stay in office.
Do we have the same VP as this lady?
Liberal lust for power aside, why is DC worthy of statehood on its own, any more than, say, New York City?
Because splitting NYC from NYS not only makes a blue state but a red one as well.
iirc PR is usually not-so-keen on statehood when it's been a real vote, as it puts them a lot deeper into payouts to the mainland with no particular benefit
Doesn't PR like to beg the government for money and them becoming a state would mean they need to handle their own abysmal financial issues?

That's par for the course, at least for the advisors, when it comes to the executive branch. The President doesn't really know much about the various policies he deals with. The advisors send him information about current issues and policy recommendations. But the advisors themselves don't know everything about their field, so they have to rely on others to find and compile the information. Factor in political perception bias, demands of the voters, recommendations of experts, concerns of foreign states, previous knowledge of the topics, the information that you have to leave out, and above all, the time the President has to take to read and understand his briefings, and it is a shock that any President can run a functioning administration.

There's no doubt that with Biden in particular it is likely that his team is not utilizing any information or recommendations that came from the Trump administration. If Trump's CBP was recommending the Biden admin to prepare for a surge at the Southern border; they wouldn't give it a single look.

Probably an autistic question, would an easy war against Iran might be able to stave off the USA economy bubble from bursting?

If we're going to use tax dollars to give them stimmies, we might as well just let them migrate here because at least the money will be spent here.
Yeah they can move in next to you first, and use the 50% of their money that's left after sending remittances out of the country to buy flat-screens from Walmart and Chinese junk off Amazon. I'm sure that will more than make up for having junkyards and open trash burns pop up in your neighborhood. Hey, they might even open up a bunch of little restaurants (I <3 TACOS) and bodegas that they'll patronize exclusively instead of eating BORING white people food (It's so BORING). Soon there will be a CREDITO UNION LATINO so they can pool their cash amongst themselves for loans. Not that they need loans, their shitty warehouse churches with 501 tax status are pretty good systems for accumulating capital and distributing it to friends and family.

Honestly this doesn't amount to much, as Voronezh is a major transportation hub (particularly for rail) it's just Russia taking precautions and our "analysts" blowing things out a proportion as usual. Also lol at spelling Voronezh wrong; first lesson, people take you more seriously in this sphere the more autistic you get when correctly writing foreign words as it's a signal of superior intelligence.

It's also probably a play to raise his status to potentially make a run for the Oval Office someday. I doubt it personally, Manchin doesn't stand a chance in the current political environment. He doesn't stick to the (frankly bipolar) Democrat line with his blue dog leanings (progressives and opportunists would have a field day), is anathema to Republicans given his party loyalty, and doesn't have the convenience of being Obama's former VP for clout. He would have had a chance if in the same position in the 2000s, but the bipartisan culture he exemplifies has been dead since Obama. Manchin will end his days as a Senator and go onto a cushy advisor job like many before him.

With Biden sending the migrants to Michigan and Pennsylvania, how long do we reckon it will be until we see a red wave from the hispanic population as the sudden influx of this many migrants leads to direct contact with and exposure to the black-led crimefests that are known as Detroit, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia?
A red wave of blood? Possibly. There is a Hispanic hierarchy and they do like to fight each other.

A red wave of voting? If by red you mean shitty “Bolivarianism,” yes.

A Republican red wave? Snowballs in Hell stand a greater chance of that happening.

We’ve been getting waves of criminal migrants crossing the border for decades and this red wave hasn’t happened. What makes you think it’s going to happen now or any time soon? Many of them joke that this is a reconquista. What incentive do they have for voting Republican? The modern GOP is gayer than a Frisco bathhouse and pretends to be for law and order while emptying prisons of violent criminals.

Define easy because it will definitely not be like the Battlefield 3 single player campaign.
Easy as in the war is against an enemy that can't strike back against US citizens or have an army that can actually give a fight against zoomers equipped with billions of dollars of hi-tech weaponry. There will still be USA soldiers deaths but that's easy to gloss on in the news.

Not likely, as I think a war with Iran would be wildly unpopular with voters from every party. There's been a not so subtle push for war with Iran for like 25 years at least, and it's almost universally seen as an idea reserved for the worst war hawks, namely John McCain. We already fucked with Iran in the 70s when we replaced their elected leader with a puppet dictator and that was likely the first step in the forever war of the US vs. middle eastern nations. It greatly contributed to the rise of "death to America" Islam in the region.

Fuck off Biden we don't need more thirdworlders shitting up our state to turn it bluer.

Iran isn't an easy war. Iraq was easy because they had a absolutely trash military command. Iran is competent on all levels and could easily protract a conflict the same way the Taliban has in Afghanistan.

the most impactful we've ever done to iran, and probably ever will do, was drone striking their commander. even though we have major advancements in technology, that still doesn't really help us fight in guerilla warfare cause you can't just call down artillery on a crowded city. the single worst place to be on earth is in an urban city during guerilla warfare
