Yes, this is pretty much my point. Fent was merely one of many factors dictated by Floyd's garbage life choices. And, once again, it was not Chauvin's responsibility to know about any of that shit. It's just that the statement that fent was explicitly the main cause of his death is stupid and some people here have this weird propensity to emotionally cling to it as if proving it wrong will magically put Chauvin behind bars. If you want to latch onto Floyd's health issues, then his clogged shitpipe arteries are a much better option.
As a counter argument, Floyd had taken one of these same fugazi Percocets full of fentanyl a few months earlier and he overdosed so hard it put him in the hospital for a week.

Yeah, I went out and bought more ammo. What I could find, anyway. Bare shelves everywhere, and it's not just people cleaning them out - they're not getting a lot of ammo in. 9mm? Forget about it. Any pistol caliber, really.
It's been like this for months now, started with covid, got worse as the Summer of Love peacefully burned on, and continued to get worse once Dementia Joe got in the Oval Office and threatened to do more gun control. There's supply chain issues in the background of all this and every time supply might've started to let up demand only spiked because something even more retarded happened.

There is a possibility that nothing happens. I mean the lockdowns are ending. More guns now then before Chauvin kneeled on George Floyd.

Sun Tzu said to strike when the enemy leasts expects it. Everything is on high alert.

Well that's terrifying

I'm inclined to think it's a combination of supply chain issues and someone making it very difficult to obtain popular handgun calibers, whether by some sort of administrative fiat or perhaps by doing something like reserving ammunition at the factory for people like LEOs. Hard to say for sure, but I don't like how this smells.

Good thing for me 20ga isn't ultra-popular, I guess.

I almost expect some misbehaving from whites soon. After watching cities be destroyed for almost a year now, a founder of Burn Loot Murder buying a million dollar house, black people being seen attacking Asians for no reason...
there are plenty of hotheaded youth that are going to be looking for trouble. Hopefully they just bitch about it then go play video games instead. Isn't that one with the big lady coming out soon? Resident Evil 8 I think? It looks distracting.

This is what I mean by "whites start to defend themselves." Eventually one of these "peaceful protesters" are going to get uppity while in one of these neighborhoods and start causing shit because they don't think they will actually shoot. Then the protester of peace actually gets shot and the media will spin to push the "ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE WHITE SUPREMACIST AND WE NEED TO TAKE THEIR GUNS AWAY" narrative.
Again? So what? Who the fuck cares? They can do that shit all they like but the Supreme Court that was 5-4 a decade ago on Second Amendment issues is now 6-3, maybe even 7-2. So good luck on that gun grabbing shit.

I just read through the highlights of the last 200 pages and I'm still not sure what's going on as of late. Anyone care to bring me up to speed?

I don't blame you for thinking it especially because choking out the ammo supply is probably one of the smarter ways of doing gun control in the long run without grandstanding on confiscations and scary weapons of war bans. But I'm still inclined to go Hanlon's Razor on this just because of how absolutely fucked the market has been for the better part of a year. You had ammo manufacturers not meaningfully expanding production capacity because of the Trump slump and they probably didn't expect a Biden win before 2020 so they didn't spool up to expand it then and now that it's getting slammed by supply chain issues, hoarding boomers and panicking new gun owners I can see legitimate reasons for the ongoing shortage.

Do you think republicans will actually stand by gun rights when the slightest bit of pressure is put on them? Remember how many caved after Parkland when they faced mild harassment?

Caught up on the thread. Given that the prosecution seems to be either criminally incompetent or deliberately spiking the case (insert reasons why here) I’m feeling mighty good with my longshot vote on 1992 literally happening again.
Time to find my oversized flannel shirts and ratty Levi’s 501s.
I don't believe it is either incompetence or deliberately spiking.

We are seeing the court system work as intended when given a garbage case. The prosecution is doing its job presenting one side of the evidence and the defense is unsurprisingly devastating the poor evidence presented. If the prosecution was trying to spike the case, I don't think they would have had their final desperation medical evidence witness. I assume he got a stern talking to by the prosecution that he wasn't going to give a single inch on cross after the disastrous outcomes of his predecessors on the stand.

I see this case as absurd as if Chauvin was being put on trial for the murder of JFK in Dallas in 1963 because there is someone in the footage of the event that looks like Chauvin. The prosecution dutifully is going to put their evidence before the jury. And the defense is going to destroy the case before it even gets to the defense's turn for presenting evidence.

This case is the result of 'community leaders' and people outside the prosecutors office demanding a conviction. Prosecutors don't like taking cases they aren't certain they can't win. There is really no major evidence we know of now that we don't know of a year ago. The two murder charges are pure fantasy and nothing but appeasement for those forces outside the prosecutors office.

And the manslaughter charge is something you could give the evidence to any prosecutor and they would yell at you for wasting their time.
  • A dangerous and possibly lethal mix of drugs taken/swallowed by the suspect in desperation to avoid going to jail?
  • The suspect in that condition behind the wheel of a vehicle?
  • The suspect engaged in illegal activity just before the incident?
  • The suspect claiming medical problems before the arresting officers had physical contact with him?
  • The suspect foaming at the mouth?
  • The suspect not-cooperating/fighting with the arresting officers?
  • The suspect requesting to be placed on the ground?
  • The suspect being put in a restraint right out of the MPD training material?
  • The ambulance getting lost and having to have the arresting officer upgrade to a Code 3?
  • Any angry crowd expressing threats to the arresting officers while waiting for the delayed ambulance?
That is just off the top of my head. This case is utter garbage. It is nothing but reasonable doubt. No prosecution office in the country could have made this case less of a disaster without outright malfeasance from the judge or prosecution witnesses who were willing to outright lie about the evidence to the extent the final medical witness did.

If the prosecution office had integrity they would have absolutely refused to participate in this show trial.

I think this is why my interest in this case is rapidly petering out. Leading up to the case I was pretty sure I knew exactly what happened, and these past two weeks have more or less confirmed it.
Just like with Zimmerman, and Darren Wilson, this is almost 100% cut and dry, sucks that it happened, but you shouldn't have been a fucking nigger.
The ONLY reason this case made it to trial is because of public pressure and politicians with zero spines who wouldn't put their foots down and say "No this is bullshit." And so far with how the case is going the ONLY reason Chauvin or any of the other cops involved will be charged is if the jury are afraid of the ramifications of being the one who gets him off.
This might as well be taking place in Australia for how much of a fucking Kangaroo court this is.
Even IF Chauvin gets the book thrown at him, just so the jury and the city can cover their own asses, I see this case being overturned almost immediately in appeals once the jurors start saying they felt they had no other options but to throw the book at him.

Happened back in August in Pennsylvania. They were "marching" from Milwaukee to DC. A group would drive for a while, get out and be obnoxious niggers along the way, then drive more. They stopped on private property in a township that has a population of 500. They were warned to leave and refused, culminating in a shootout with the property owner's son who hit one of them with buckshot.

I think if shit really goes down you're going to get a shitton of Kenosha Kyles who have the good sense to wear coof masks and 2 layers of clothes so they can make themselves scarce after shots are fired.

My local sporting goods store is desperately short on ammo and there was a very long line last time I went in.

Ancient Roof Korean proverb says best time to buy ammo is last year and second best time is right now.

I'm staying in my cozy small town apartment with my work from home job and a shotgun aimed at my barricaded door.

Y'all can eat each other for all I care.

I wonder how better the Republicans would have been if Nixon and the GOP did not cuck and Nixon finished off his second term. Reagan and his types opposed Nixon and believed in confronting the Soviets head on unlike detente by Nixon. Sometimes I wonder if Nixon was the Trump of his era.

To win 49 states in re election and gain a greater share of the vote.

Just like Trump grew his voter base by an insane margin of new voters.

As for the Southern Strategy meme applied towards Nixon. Nixon lost the south in 1968 to a Dixiecrat and won the whole country except the shithole of Massholes in 1972.
Dems banking on the strategy of demoralization, full press all the way through 2024. Using media to drive narratives, using tech to silence opponents (thus making dissenting lurkers feel alone in their views), and pushing their agenda to please their own constituents enough to get them to show up back at the polls.

2022 will be a checkpoint for future evaluation. I suspect they would hope that this tactic works enough that they actually gain seats , and thus double down.

The big question is going to be if this full court press will have the effect of mobilizing the opposition. They wish for you to forget how close the margin of victory was for Biden in quite a few battleground states. Something like 74 million people voted for Trump. Which means they are either riding that train or they disagree so much with Dems that they did a spitevote.

The thing about people who love to virtue signal is that posting shit on Twitter, changing your avatar to something cringey... these things take the place of real change, because these peoppe feel their duty to society has been fulfilled simply by saying something. So there is a sort of culture of this lazy activism.

When you combine this with the fact that Trump is not running in 2022, you can see how this might not get a lot of their voters over to the polls. Not to mention with Biden at the helm, the pressure is on him and other dems to actually do all the shit they have been threatening the last 4 years. Their constituents want to see results.

We see this added pressure with all the different facets they are attacking. Proposing gun bills, Supreme Court packing, and pushing foreign conflicting intervebtion seems like they are throwing a thousand darts and hoping one will hit. Because it is hardly likely too many of these things will pass up when scrutinized by the present day Supreme Court. They need something to show for all the bitching and moaning, or else you are going to have the more radical leftists hop off the wagon.

So we see a demoralization focused on the right, and a campaign of darts to reward their own base with. If this does not work out, worst case scenario is that they will drive the narrative of "we tried"....

Yet they do not confront the thinge which may actually be a problem, such as any backlash. Though do expect to see more articles in the media addressing the weaknesses as we get nearer to 2022. These will do just enough that they encourage their voters to the polls, yet without the whole demoralization factor.

it will certainly be interesting to watch.

What bothers me about this trial is that we know the outcome that will occur. Regardless of the verdict. Riots will happen, because nothing is ever good enough.

They expect vengeance via the emotional reaction they have when looking at this case. But emotional reactions are subjective, completely different from person to person. Our issue is thus that they want subjective justice to be served. But that is not how justice works.

Can you imagine a system where the victim or parties with personal interests are allowed to decide the punishment for those who wronged them? How many different suggestions would you get? How would we ever measure justice as fair when everyone has a different measuring stick? What of those who have become monsters themselves in their journey to seeking their own vengeance, wishing for their perpetrator to be ripped apart beyond reason?

I get that this is a problem, that many black people in the US have a living fear of being killed by police - no thanks to the media. But burning shit down doesn't fix anything. Neither does making some average dude who died a martyr for your cause. Your fears are valid, but only to a degree, as fear is a subjective emotion, perceived differently by everyone. You can't expect other people to be able to feel your own emotions, but you can try to communicate. But as humans we must use words over actions - especially when those actions do harm to the more noble parts of your cause.

There is common ground to be found in any idea if you look hard enough. We must stop wasting our time on things we disagree about, and begin with the things we do agree about, working our way out.

>main fent od symptom: respiratory arrest (inability to breathe)
