Judge denies the motion because "that's a totally different case" and he thinks sequestering the jury now might make the jury more likely to think there is a threat to their safety based on their participation in the trial. He says the jurors all acknowledged concern about sitting on the jury from the beginning.

I completely agree with the motion denial, it's way too early on to sequester them and doing so would just cause more fear and tension amongst the jurors.
Sequestering closer to deliberations would make more sense, even for the jurors themselves.

Its shocking that they weren't sequestered from the get go for a case like this. I can't imagine how the women of the jury would be able to live sequestered though.
