I've definitely been watching Joel a lot more now. The other day he was streaming for over 8 hours, I know he's done that before with his Desert Bus streams, but is that uptime normal for him? Or is he trying to compensate for the fans since Vinny's on hiatus?
I think Joel said something about streaming a lot to make up for either a past hiatus or a future hiatus relating to his music.
you know it's posts like this that make me wonder if even a quarter of the people posting this fucking thread even watch the streams. people who don't know how old vinny is when he constantly talks about it (especially in the recent majora's mask randomizer, he talks about being as old as tingle), don't even know that Alizarin is someone who is routinely talked about by vinny in contexts that imply they are friendly at least, and talk at least somewhat frequently.

Relatively normal for Joel. Much like Jerma he's the type to stream entire games through in one sitting, or just for inordinate amounts of time.
I almost never watch streams live, it just doesn't gel with me. I use to watch VODs but now with fan compilations and editors/more edited videos, I tend to watch those instead. Sometimes I watch the VODs of Sunday streams but for the most part, you are correct.
He played the original Darkseed (Sadly not the one with voice acting). Darkseed 2 is right up his fucking alley.
Where is Rita? I liked Joel before Vinny at first.
I'm pretty sure streaming and music are his main sources of income. (He talks about sleeping all day or spending half of the day working on music anyway.) He'd have to find a stable job before he quits streaming altogether, and I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. I mean, would you retire streaming and get a job you hate if you can live off of playing video games?
This is probably the worst opinion in this thread, but I unironicly love when Joel does that. People say that it takes away from playing the game, but it adds character to the stream in a way that not a lot of other streamers can replicate. Like, it was in his Yakuza Kiwami stream that he was he was on a date with this scam artist chick and just because Kiriu made a half-smile, Joel decides he's got to bring up a picture of Moe smiling to compare, while completely oblivious to the roofie fizzing in his drink and just drinks it. It's shit like that that I think makes him funnier than other streamers out there just playing the game straight.
