Eldridge's disposition has really shifted compared to last week and the week before where she was giggling and rambling while doing direct questioning. Iirc she was handpicked by a government official for this trial, and I guess her cross-exam skill is why. She looks zeroed-in and on the warpath today. Maybe a sign of the state's desperation to establish a case, or maybe this is just her normal cross-exam demeanor. Either way, she's doing much better than she was in direct questioning.
I also really like how fast Nelson is moving through witnesses. No boring diatribes and lectures, just credentials, foundation, and facts. This is already much easier to listen to without falling asleep.

EDIT: She and Blackwell are assistants to the Attorney General of Minnesota, so I guess both of them were specially picked, and most of the others are hired private attorneys I think. I do believe Blackwell did the best in direct overall, despite getting rekt yesterday on the cardiologist, so maybe that's why he was picked. Interested in seeing him on cross.
