If the jury does the right thing and say there was reasonable doubt (that's putting it lightly) then terrorist art and gender studies major NEETs will set out to ruin their lives the second any of them are revealed
Yeah, you're only the millionth person to say this in the thread.

The fact that the jury has likely been made aware of the threats made against them likely means they'll convict.

Minnesotans are not made of stern stuff and this jury did not strike me as any exception.

I personally think manslaughter's a stretch but I also think the jury will do just that.
It is a stretch. It's criminal negligence at worst.

"Criminal negligence refers to conduct in which a person ignores a known or obvious risk, or disregards the life and safety of others. Federal and state courts describe this behavior as a form of recklessness, where the person acts significantly different than an ordinary person under similar circumstances."

Manslaughter is the only hope the jury has of placating the mob. And I highly doubt even that will be enough.

They have no hope of placating the mob unless they went full retard and slammed Chauvin for 2nd degree. Even that isn't a guarantee.

There WILL be riots. That is a foregone conclusion. That is also why I have shotshells coming out of my ears right now.

Honestly fucking sick that people care more about their feelings than a fair trial. It's basic human decency but I guess they just want "an eye for an eye", even when it makes no sense. Love how the left is more bloodthirsty than they'll ever admit to - Wait, uh, white bloodthirst? Is that a thing?

That'll just delay things for another year. I wanna see people go ballistic. An acquittal will be the most iconoclastic repudiation of Clown World possible.
True. I just think people will go ballistic no matter what, and double the people will be assmad about a mistrial.
I’d love to see a jury selected from people a year removed from all this stuff crushing the idol of St. Floyd with their fuzzy memories. Probably optimistic

if its criminal negligence then its manslaughter lmao

Do most people who say "The jury will convict based off on fear!" Realize that the literal second it leaks that a single juror voted against Chauvin out of fear for their safety the appeals will start flying and the Chauvin might get an even better outcome?
Hell that might even happen even if he gets convicted and no jury admits that.

An appeal is almost a guarantee, but I would prefer to nip this in the bud if possible

That would only give more time for the lie agreed upon to become gospel. The woke left is long overdue for a solid, definitive "sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up".

An appeal is absolutely a sure thing, especially now that niggers are rioting within view of the court house.
I'm kinda curious wether or not the sequestered juror is aware of those riots or has seen them, or what they think of them, or if they think they are because of the trial lol

That would be nice, but it seems like an acquittal now will just make them worse rather than wake them up.
I’m still waiting for trannygeddon on that front
They're not gonna see the error of their ways, any more than a toddler having a tantrum demanding candy will while he's still having a tantrum.

Give them what they want now, and an appeal won't matter (or won't even happen at all). A conviction now tells them: "rioting gets us whatever we want, the Rule of Law and due process is for suckers".

The best part is that even if they were smart enough to know that intimidating the trial is a bad idea if they want to get their way, the left is just like

When you've gone 1 day without making gruesome death threats towards those that dare to be morally inferior to you

Why would they stop? AG Ellison won't hold them accountable for it. He's on their side. The ends justify the means in their worldview.

When was the last time the Left voluntarily hamstrung themselves and gave some other party the benefit of the doubt, simply because it was the moral, legal, or constitutional thing to do?

Liberals NEVER let petty things like rules, laws, or morality get between them and power.
