anime is literally just cartoons in japanese. Anime doesn't refer to specifically Japanese animation, just anything animated, Shrek, toy story, those terrible cgi adverts? all would be considered anime if your Japanese who lived in japan all your life because cartoon in Japanese is anime.

dude ever watched an early 2000's highschool drama/film. yes most of the actors are adults but these teen characters get butt shots and dress in skimy-coded clothing. again, to shit-talking about them just because japanese anime is baaaaaad.
