Yeah, that's the thing. Not only is the state of being white treated as a liability here, not only is the value of somebody's experience determined by immutable characteristics, but the only acceptable alternatives are those who haven't rocked the boat with Lily. Seems like trading one form of homogyny for another, but whatever.
Also, dangelowallace is not in the political sphere at all, much less a leftist person of color sharing their experiences as a black man. He has some "here's the tea, sis" vibes about him, but that's really it. He's just one of those social media gurus, essentially. I also just don't like his videos.
Side note: "racism in fandom" is code for sniping at people who piss you off and making a big deal out of it, chalking their mistakes up to malice rather than ignorance, and assigning group blame to the whole fandom based on your bad experiences.
