Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

It's funny how they won't just come out and admit that they are planning on quarterly vaccinations from here on out. I guess they are worried it will pass off even the sheeple, but in every case where people are being asked if they had a vaccination, they are asked if it was in the last 3 months.

The vaccines are only good for 1/4 of the year.

688 people in a year in a country the size of Norway is not a pandemic lmao. That's 57 a month jesus christ.
Shit, in the county I live in, population about 445,000, total of 347 dead. Less than one per day. Am sure many more than that have died of cancer/heart disease. 1,200,000 Americans die every year of these diseases, yet we don't do all sorts of damage to our country - economic, educational, societal - treating these diseases and/or fighting the spread of them. Treating cancer/heart disease is just a fact of life. Measures to fight spread of cancer/heart disease don't require making people lose livelihoods, making them move away, keeping kids out of school., etc.

Some may say the ChiCom Flu spreads differently. That may be so, but I don't see where all the house arrests, mask-wearing, "social distancing", etc. , have made that much difference.

If state governors had been serious about hampering the spread of this disease with the minimum of disruption to people's lives and infringements on people's rights, they would have locked everything down for two weeks, then outright quarantined the hot spots and buffer zones. Everyone else goes back to work/school/jobs, with some protective measures, such as possibly masks in crowd situations. I could have bought into that. Didn't happen anywhere. WAY too many "governors" went full-Nazi, immediately instituting one-size-fits-all house arrests on entire states. Why? Rural areas are rather different than large cities, inherently requiring a different approach. We saw certain "governors" , such as Cuomo, Newsom, and Whitmer, ruling by whim instead of any sort of common sense. They laughed when they and their sycophants broke rules intended for everyone. Now Newsom faces recall, hopefully Cuomo faces impeachment.

"Trust the science." This term has been used so often that now it's a statement of derision. The science can no longer be trusted. Day-to-day, "they" can't even decide if these "vaccines" are safe to use. NOW, one vaccine maker says a THIRD dose of their shit may be needed. Fuck that. Just another reason to opt out of vaccinations. In the state I live in, Newsom is supposedly relaxing certain oppressive measures. Believe the only reason he is doing so is due to the upcoming recall. And it sure is funny to see how the number of cases has supposedly dropped since the 20th of January. People's trust in government/media/law enforcement/judiciary, never that high, has plummeted. I talk to all sorts of folks, and not one has said "Yes" when I ask them if they trust government to do the right thing. Nobody, and the people I talk with are the Joes, Janes, Hectors, Kims, the people that make our country work.

Said this before, will say it again. Not going to take that much longer to realize that the US response to the ChiCom Flu has been a Vietnam War-level national fuckup. We, as a nation, will be paying the price of some people's power trips for years to come.

Maybe this is all a long game to make us do just that. Destroy whiteness by making niggerdom the only viable strategy, thereby returning us all to monke just as the hippies and other Rousseauians intended.

Hell, maybe so-called "typical nigger behaviour" is actually an act of resistance against "white supremacy", and they simply came to the exact same conclusion you did half a century earlier.
Niggers were doing fine before positive discrimination and anti-family welfare hit. As long as the state is hostile towards Whites, there's no threat of niggering.

Things are getting more concerning in Canada. ICU's in some of the bigger cities are at capacity; our retarded government has started opening up new field hospital "beds" without actually hiring enough ICU RN's to staff those beds. So if you get very sick with the coof, or even with some other random trauma, you could end up in a hospital "bed", but instead of having a qualified critical care RN dedicated to your care, you might get a random pediatric nurse who's juggling you plus 3 other people.

It's gotten to be such a shitshow, they're asking doctors to pick up some nursing duties, trying to persuade veteran nurses to come back from retirement, etc. Even though they've had a year to prepare and train up some nurses and PSW's... but that wasn't the priority I guess??

I'm kinda curious to see if/how this "triage medicine" unfolds. Where if you meet certain criteria (e.g. above a certain age, multiple comorbidities) they could deny you ICU-level care since you have less chance of making a full recovery and they need those precious resources for people who are more likely to benefit.

Basically a ton of old sick people are gonna die. Might not be such a bad thing, we should have just allowed these folks to pass naturally, but families want us to DO EVERYTHING BECAUSE GRAMMY IS A FIGHTER!!!!. Some people have been on unconscious on ventilators since the FIRST WAVE (families gotta collect that sweet social security check) so maybe we'll finally be able to legally withdraw care from these hopeless cases? But not without a lot of people getting very angry.
I think they didn't increase the number of RN's because nursing is a 5 year program with absurd high school grade requirements (It's over 90% average required, it's actually harder to get into than engineering), so it would take 5 years to expand the number. My guess is that the supply of nurses is kept at a minimum because the more nurses, the more people the government has to pay, and health care expenses are basically limitless without such arbitrary caps because of that "GRAMMY IS A FIGHTER" mentality.

We just import half our nurses here from the Philippines anyway.

looking at how the world acted this is very interesting

I've been saying from the beginning that this is a form of mass psychosis, amplified by the media/social media and a 24-hour news cycle.

No matter where they stand on the vaccine/COVID, pretty much everyone I've mentioned this too has agreed on some level that we've collectively lost it.

On the island of St Vincent, a volcano is doing volcano stuff and a lot of people want to evacuate.
Nearby islands will only take them if they are vaccinated, so lots of people are getting the vaccines right before getting on a ship to leave.
Now, doesn't it take a few days for immunity to start working?
If the evacuees go to a place full of Covid, won't they still catch it?

They're perfectly ok with leaving these people to get suffocated and boiled in fucking lava, I think it's clear they don't give a solitary fuck about their safety. I'm shocked I haven't heard more people commenting on it. This is one of the most absurd and appalling things I've seen yet, and that is saying something. I just have to say it again because I can't believe I'm saying it: There are people who are being forced to take a highly questionable "vaccine" in its experimental phase, because their only alternative is to very possibly be killed by an active volcano. It's way beyond old hat to compare stuff to Nazis I know, but I'm sure they would have applauded this as a very good dirty trick to fuck with the vulnerable just cause you can.

"This isn't eugenics! We're just saying that anyone who doesn't meet our standards deserves to die! We're not weeding out the undesirables!"

Online school makes me want to die. Even knowing I was able to get through this makes me want to die. In Terraria. (:_(

I am sort of surprised that all the capitalism hating people I know can't recognize this subscription model as a way of pharmaceutical companies to make bank. It's a wealth transfer scheme, and they put so much effort to crushing competition that was cheaper and safer to protect their financial interests.

Or for all their love of brown people, they dismiss all the ivermectin studies coming from brown doctors, and are unwilling to look into the treatment or will put a hand on the scale to tip their studies back to favor their profits.

All other times they can recognize that capitalism doesn't care about the individual, and is fine with drowning the peasants to fatten the bosses, but somehow they would never do that in medicine!

They are transferring non complex medical patients to the tents so they can use psws with one nurse per 10 people or whatever atrocious staffing rate they use in long term care homes. Context is important and the media will have you believe they are transferring all these critically ill patients to gasp for their last breath in a military tent. That is not the case. It will probably be the ALC patients (patients who are medically stable but need a long term care bed) and the rehab patients who require very little care.

Just like the second headline on fear porn 24, that they are transferring ‘patients’ to long term care homes. The reality is, these people CAME FROM the long term care home, and hospital is looking at sending them back a day or two earlier.
The media is absolute fkn scum in Ontario and so is that fat fuck Ford.

It would take a super-heavy weight idiot in the pantheon of gifted idiots to not understand by now that there will be a requirement for future shots against Covid for the foreseeable future. This was blatantly obvious in like February 2020 to anyone who had spent more than 15 minutes researching what the virus - and indeed coronaviruses are.

I'm pretty sure also virtually anyone of any prominence in the field was saying as much too way early on.

If coronaviruses were easy we'd have vaccines for the common cold (FYI there have been MANY vaccines done for the common cold but never released because they didn't last long enough or had bad side effects).

It would be reasonable to expect annual or bi-annual shots being required until a breakthrough happens with a vaccine.

It will take a breakthrough in technology to have a one hit or 2-hit vaccine. Perhaps in 5-15 years maybe if we are lucky.

It is amazing to me that here we are down the road more than a year...and here you are somehow shocked that a third dose (or more) are going to be needed.

You've wasted countless hours reading garbage. You wasted more countless hours with shitty posts and whining. But you never seemed to have time to read a book about viruses or to even read studies (not opinions, talking heads, you know...actual studies), to understand why this coronavirus is bad - or why all coronaviruses have evaded vaccination since they were discovered.

The internet is a great tool - except to someone who doesn't know how to find knowledge and just thinks he does. The greatest enemy of science is ignorance. And you are a fucking star.

Not entirely true. Only a couple of the cold viruses are coronaviruses... most colds are from other species like rhinoviruses. Yes, those could of cold viruses that come from coronaviruses we only build a short term immunity towards. I saw some speculation on that's because they don't trigger much of a threat response in the body. Who knows though.

However, Sars 1 one, people still had antibodies 10 years after recovery. They might still have them now if people bothered to check up on them again. Covid antibodies are in some people over a year later, I saw some doctor reflecting on his own case, so it seems there's a good chance that covid as a more threatening, long lasting disease, would have a prolonged immunity.

You know the reason you can get norovirus repeatedly is because it stays in your body such a short span of time it can't mount a defense, yes? Well, the cold coronaviruses if you are sick for only a day or two could also have something like that contributing to their lack of prolonged immunity.

True - some did. Most will/won't have such luck with their bodies and this virus. It is important for some people to understand the difference between vaccination and immunity. 5% of Africans are immune to Ebola and will never need a vaccine. The make-up of this virus we are dealing with now always presented a severe level of concern to scientists. Covid-19 and SARS 1 act very differently even though they are branched. A small change can make a virus a beast.

Eventually, versions of the virus are very likely to present in society that will mount a significant threat to youngsters and it will not only be the elderly or fat. I would be more concerned if we do not see this happen because it could mean the bodies of these youngsters may in fact be more likely to fall ill as they age and their immune systems fail to handle the variants.

This virus is gifted at mutation - simply gifted. It's like a Cummins engine - the framework, shell and technology around it may change over time, but the fundamental beautiful elegance of its main driver remains the same. The variants we've seen to date have arisen from a relatively small gene pool of potential hosts and there are many many more to come. Most will be good for us (less harmful and lethal) and some will be the opposite.

If we end up with a virus that has a mortality rate of 1-2% per year and keeps that up for any length of time (5-10 years), from constant variants - it technically represents a threat to us as a species although I'd expect them to have found by then a good vaccine or solution so I say this a little tongue in cheek knowing that in 50 years we won't see an near extinction level event, but also technically, it is possible if it keeps up with the lethal variations AND WE DO nothing - as some people think we should; it could reduce global population down to 500 Million in 30-40 years.

There's that one effective drug for treating coronavirus, but Orange Man reccomended it so it must be bad!

Then there's the dubious vaccine supported by Big Pharma and Big Tech* - that's rushed out in reply to the scamdemic they started or egged on - so it must be good!
