TGWTG Nostalgia Chick / Lindsay Ellis / TheDudette - aka Hotdogs in face girl

I'll never understand the spell this woman holds over people, even ones who have an inkling of what she might be about. Of any cow I follow here she gets the most slack and I just don't know why. "Yea she's a drunken, hateful pig, but hey, those Hobbit videos, huh? Huh?" Sorry but fuck that, man.

Maybe it's because I discovered her after her Nostalgia Chick days. I find her analysis smug and at times laughably self-indulgent. When she's not getting drunk on Merlot she's high on her own farts. I'm just not sure of what kind of insightful, even-handed analysis are you going to get on ANYTHING from an unabashedly woke woman who calls her family uneducated white trash and felt so proud of aborting her kid she made a short movie over it.
Shes the very definition of a twitter liberal. She targets the people who will just listen to someone who "sounds" smart and leave it at that. Mix that with a pinch of "wine mom lol!!!!", a spoonful of topical videos and a cup of virtue signal, you have a formula for someone who is and was always going to be successful. This isnt to even mention the fact that well, her simps (somehow) will always keep her afloat. It doesnt help that most of her complaints and videos can be boiled down to "how can I squeeze and force my view points into this children's show?" The fact that this woman has unironically made hundreds of thousands of people think the exact same way is kinda scary.

I'd actually like to see what would happen if she actually debated someone who wasnt handpicked by her on anything. It would be the funniest shit.

This is all kinda bittersweet for me, I used to be a fan of her videos back in the TGWTG days. They were a bit silly but she talked about some of the old media I grew up with so I tuned in whenever she had a new video. I feel like they really took a dip in quality the more she tried to shoehorn in her friends over time and by the time she tried to get Chez Apocalypse off the ground it all seemed really joyless. The last 'good' video I saw from her was the one about Rent, and that's more because Rent is terrible than any great insight she threw at it.

She clearly hates what she does now, but she can't stop because it feeds into her narcissism, and now she's gotten a hell of a narcissistic injury. It's all going to be flailing from here on out.

I still find all of this funny because in the video she outright calls it "the beast," and it is a discussion they can't have because the other side will take it and use it against them despite it being something they all are scared of happening.

If it is so much a problem that you all dread it eventually coming for you, then yeah it does have power over you and is a genuine problem Lindsey.
She so stuck in this petty political game of hers she can only think about "the other side," using the term for it against her group instead of actually trying to solve it.

If you do not acknowledge the problem because "oh no the other side will use it against you," even though it is now harming the very same trans, gay, POC, etc she claims to care for then she really is no better than those very same systems she claims are oppressing people in America.

Her reasoning is genuinely the same reasoning most politicians give for the shit they do aka the very people she hates herself and it's funny how little self-awareness she has towards that fact.

So much makeup everywhere BUT her eyes? More specifically, why didn't she do her eyebrows at least? They are not strong enough to go au naturale if you're gonna be wearing so much fucking makeup everywhere else. She will never be Contra, clearly.

For those not watching the video, Lindsay gave credit to the term "cancel" to a song written by a black person called "Your love has been canceled", then showed a WP clipping that reads like this:

View attachment 2090637

Then she uses some made-up term AAVE to try and make both the words "cancel" and "woke", as in the Red Pill scene from the Matrix, as cultural appropriation.

View attachment 2090654

No, "canceled" is not black vernacular, it comes from when a TV show gets taken off the air. Lindsay is so amazingly insufferable but I never thought she'd try historical revisionism and trying to claim the term "woke" came from black people when the etymology leads to a movie written by two white people.

What a racist piece of shit, & I'm barely three minutes in.

Late AF, but AAVE isn’t a new term. It’s just the politically correct way of saying eubonics, which has negative racist connotations.

I could only get through the tranny video by muting it and reading the captions at 2x speed, but I don't think I could stomach this new video even under those circumstances. This is so fucking cringey, holy shit.

Making a 90 minute video about your personal Twitter drama is a total Hontra move. It's embarrassing and pathetic, even for Lindsay. Remember when she made fun of that wolf porn girl for pulling a Streisand? Talk about irony.

She had two options: 1) post a tweet with some hollow bullshit about how you understand why what you did was "problematic," apologize, and move on, or 2) ignore the Twitter slapfight entirely and focus on content. What she elected to do was the worst of both worlds, which was to get defensive and drag everything out. Just goes to show you how narcissists are literally incapable of letting things roll off their backs. The retarded "cancel campaigners" on Twitter wouldn't have so much power if people would just stop trying to appease them.

One of the reasons I hate Democrats is that they look down on the South and the mid west with such contempt and snobbery, but then I see how their cities are run and they are shit holes. California's major cities, New York, Chicago, DC, Detroit, Baltimore....they are all corrupt and poorly run mad houses, and they want the rest of the country to be like that, and I'm like "Fuck you, I don't want to be like those shitstains.".
The whole damn country is varying degrees of poorly run and corrupt regardless of region. That's what happens when you let politicians draw district lines.

Fun experiment: Google "states with the lowest average IQ."

To my recollection, "cancel" as it's used today originated with the "cancel Colbert" drama. That's basically when the word began to transition from being about television to individuals.

Holy fuck, this short throwing of family members under the bus is the most unforgivable to me.
It's a symptom of globohomo's efforts to destroy the so-called "nuclear family" concept and undermine the strength of the traditional family unit. It's really sad how effective it's been with this generation. They're ungrateful and ignorant of the sacrifices and hard work of their parents and siblings to help raise them and give them the life they have.

Oh well. These entitled pricks will learn the hard way when their family isn't there to support them when the wokescolds turn on them and no one else will help them.

I seriously can not take this story at face value without some actual names and evidence. People need to get out of the mindset that someone faking a rape story is “beyond the pale” and that no one could ever stoop to that level. Also, it sure feels like the most coincidental of coincidences that she’s kept this story hidden for years only to spill it when her popularity is in jeopardy, and that this sudden revelation of her being a rape victim retroactively makes Doug Walker look even worse for forcing her to do a joke related to rape. Kind of odd that she didn’t reveal that detail during the Change The Channel debacle right? Wouldn’t that have been extremely relevant to the discussion at hand?
The titlecards with like [insert bodily fluid here] really threw me, why drag it out that long and semi-specifically if you really don't want to talk about it, or can't? It's been so long fwik that there's no way she'd have to obscure so many details for legal reasons.

If it were me, and I didn't and still don't wanna talk specifics, both during CTC and here i would described something vague yet damning like "a violent SA that involved a hospital visit." Describing random non-details in this video makes me question her, even though in my soft squishy heart I want to give the benefit of the doubt to rape survivors.

My theory: Maybe she did go to the hospital that night after a sexual liaison, but for reasons besides rape and then ended up having a rape kit done for CYA reasons because sex was involved in the injury and/or she didn't know the person she was shacking up with very well. Maybe the accused was an asshole but not a rapist, and there was a mishap?

Anyone else notice that despite the relentless "as a white woman" self-bashing she does so much...she actually looks more Cherokee than most blood-degree-card-carrying members of the tribal nation?

I'm amazed she hasn't jumped on that angle a while ago. Probably shied away from it because she knew black and rez wokes would jump her-- perhaps literally-- for the fairer skin tone. Muh white adjacent passing privilege n shit.

I haven't followed her, hated her on TGWTG but I'll just say this... The only reason she got anywhere is because she was up against the arguably worse looking and less talented Marzgurl. Also, Lindsay is really starting to look like late 90s Kathy Bates.
And if she had any talent she would capitalize on that!

I know you don't mean it that way, but this comes across as making excuses for Lindsay and other people who hate their family for no discernable reason. There are plenty of people in "non-nuclear" families who are respectful and caring towards their parents, siblings, etc. Lindsay is just a narcissist who thinks she's better than her hick family, and that's all there is to it.

No one is trying to "destroy" nuclear families, people are just advocating for the idea that it shouldn't be the expectation for 100% of people. When "woke" teenagers bash their family, they're not actually trying to "abolish" the nuclear family- that's just a lie they tell to sound politically involved. The real reason they hate their family is because it enhances their status as "victims." They don't actually give a shit about single moms or whatever, they just want to sound like poor oppressed little babies.

Lindsay's rape reveal feels like Kevin Spacey's I'm gay reveal.

In both cases I wasn't shocked at the revelations. Spacey being gay was the worst kept secret in Hollywood while Lindsay is a lush who hangs around "Male Feminist" of course she's probably been sexually assaulted fuck it happening only once would be the shocking part.
Remember how Lindsay and friends admonished Rowling for bringing up her abuse in response to criticism? Yet here she is, pulling the exact same shit. It's another example of "rules for thee, not for me."

Also, Rowling being abused was at least tangentially related to the TERF shit because it explained her distrust of males. Lindsay's alleged sexual abuse has dickall to do with her Tweet about ATLA.

When you analyze the works of the postmodernist and communist philosophers, especially Engels, you will notice a re-occurring theme: that the glorious global communist uprising is being held back by things that are, for all intentions, pillars of society and it's really hard to justify getting rid of. The nuclear family happens to be one that they talk about very often.

Humorously, it's also the one Marx himself basically stopped talking about the moment his daughter was born.

Needless to say, the smoothbrain breadtube crowd that Lindsay surrounds herself with take this shit to heart in the stupidest ways possible. Thankfully this is also very entertaining for us.

Wtf is with her fucked up lower teeth? That's some serious white trash there. Meth mouth.

Not much to say about her that hasn't already been said

Besides the fact that she looks like a dressed up corpse chock full of embalming fluid.

The article you linked argues against monogamy (god Marxism is cringe) not nuclear families. Monogamy is an aspect of a nuclear family, but they aren't the same thing. A nuclear family is just a household that only consists of a couple and their children.

I don't support the autistic hatred some people have for the concept of nuclear families, but I think it's outdated to view it as the "default." Extended family units, i.e., households that contain grandparents, cousins, etc., are considered non-nuclear despite it being the oldest family configuration observed in humans. Contrastingly, a gay couple could theoretically be the head of a nuclear family, and that's only legally been a thing within the last two decades.

I'm of the position that as long as kids are safe and there's no abuse going on, people can have whatever family structure they want.
