To be able to play a role you need to understand it. Can one meaningfully understand what it’s like to be the opposite gender? Maybe. But Olly sure doesn’t. I would argue he doesn’t even act like a convincing troon, much less a convincing woman.

I'd say it's a much more fundamental thing. He needs to play another person before all the labels slapped on him or her, which is almost impossible for these types of narcs.
A very specific example I can think of is Jared Leto in Dallas Buyers'Club.

Entertainers obviously need to have a narcissistic streak and a healthy-ish dose of exhibitionism, but they also need to understand how to portray another person. Olly here lacks both the sheer charisma and the empathy necessary. I'm not very much into these breadtubers, but one thing is certain - Hontra created his characters and sets with a purpose and Olly just copied him without having the same goals and convictions. That always shows.

I can't find evidence that Contra did a livestream with Olly in April 2020, but he did wish Olly a happy birthday during one of his livestreams around that time. Olly uploaded his video titled 'Antisemitism' where he cross-dressed for practically the entire video at the beginning of June 2020. If that is around the time when Contra unfollowed him then I think that is what caused Contra to distance himself from Olly, an AGP skinwalking him, rather than the sexual assault rumors that some people believe.

This is probably it. After all, these people still seek validation from the greater "normal" society. So when it turns out that their validation is not from a normal person, they value it less immediately. This is why they eat themselves alive on social media and why their circles crumble. Familiarity breeds contempt. They're sick of the very echo chambers they constructed for themselves and now it's far too late.

I definitely think Olly is 'Chad' and that embarrassment is a large part of it, that and Contra probably sees his own AGP reflected in Olly. Considering how icy Contra acted when someone mentioned how happy they were for 'Abby', I wouldn't be surprised if there was more to this though. It wouldn't have been hard for Contra to at least pretend to be happy for 'Abby', and not tip off his fans that something happened between them, even if was he secretly embarrassed by the whole ordeal. Contra saying something along the lines of "that person isn't really in my life anymore" (refusing to refer to Olly as a woman or even acknowledge his transition) hints to something more going on. Especially since in trans activist circles it's taboo to not celebrate someone deciding to troon out, I'm surprised Contra was willing to shut down comments about Olly's transition. It's also unlikely that they both ended things on bad terms, otherwise we wouldn't constantly hear Olly bring up Contra as his 'dear old friend' and see him rephrasing Contra quotes in his tweets and coming out video.

Contra could just be as creeped out by Olly as most of us in this thread are, honestly he's probably even more uncomfortable considering how he seems a bit obsessed with Contra. His obvious AGP might make Contra want to separate himself from 'Abby' as much as he can also. Quite a few people consider Contra to be a shining example of AGP, associating with Olly and acknowledging his 'coming out' might make him look bad by association. Also the fact that Olly trooned out not long after Contra came out as a lesbian, I'd also try to distance myself as much as possible if I were him. I think Contra is very uncomfortable by the whole situation, and would rather just pretend that 'Abby' didn't exist.

I might be misremembering, but in Contra's thread there was someone (think it was the legendary expert @Nykysnottrans) making the argument that Shame's Chad wasn't Olly, but rather another of Nyk's ex.

Forgive me for being so vague but all I remember about the guy was that he was a prominent American winter sports Olympic (likely ski) that was black, Japanese and gay
