I like that point about it being "clean regulation." The Florida bill should hold up in court too. The state will argue it has a compelling interest in ensuring fair play and protecting players from harm, and they have chosen to do this by providing opportunities for both sexes to compete separately, as Title IX requires. There is no discrimination, as every student who wants to can join. They cannot demand to compete in the exact league of their preference, since that would weaken the state's ability to provide an even playing field and shield their players as much as possible from physical injury. It's not arbitrary; there are decades of uncontroversial scientific research and legal opinions the state can draw on to justify the law.

Exactly, there are plenty of male models (or regular guys I've seen in passing who could be male models) that I can recognize are objectively good-looking but who don't emotionally or sexually appeal to me at all. You can find someone aesthetically pleasing without having any interest in fucking them, and even if you are interested in fucking them that can change in an instant for any number of reasons. If by some miracle an FtM "passed" flawlessly outside of her genitals and I started to fall for her, the moment I discovered she wasn't actually male my interest would evaporate--and it would be the same if I discovered an actual man I was dating had purposely sterilized himself. I'm straight and am only interested in men (who look like men) I could theoretically have biological children with--it doesn't get any more natural than that.

Now image being a teacher in a class of 30, where a third of the class has random object words, pokemon characters or sounds in place of pronouns, and has changed their name (perhaps more than once) but the school policy (written by GLAAD or Mermaids or whoever with boring old fashioned child sex swap trannies in mind, a la Jazz Jennings) states that pronouns must be respected and any member of staff who violates policy will face a disciplinary. Now imagine you teach a subject rather than a homeroom class and you have 300 kids on your weekly timetable, a third of whom use stupid made up words etc etc.
