Chauvins legal fees are mostly being paid by a couple of police unions iirc. The fees are pretty sizable but you will have to look up an exact number.

to be fair, the scheduled breaks up until now have been at around 10~10:30, lunch at 12~12:30-1:30, and 3~3:30. The closing arguments are just way too long. I'm sure the jurors are getting tired/hungry.
