Probably could be achieved by stripping the nonessentials out of a walky talky and reducing it to the bare electricals. Then making it look like mundane items.

While fear might get many jury members to lean towards conviction, and I even said as much in my writeup of the jury, that fear gets lower and lower the more the city burns anyway. Humans have an amazing tendency to say "Fuck it" when they are screwed and to screw the world with them. On the jury right now is only one true blue ideologue (Juror 9), everyone else falls in varying degrees of sympathy and contempt for the accused and the victim. If it comes down to willpower, a bunch of people versus one ideologue is gonna go to those people as they get angrier and angrier.
