No, it wouldn't. It can only go UP the chain if it is appealed higher. You can only appeal if you have standing. The prosecution doesn't have standing.
How does a state ag not have standing to appeal in a state supreme court?

Oklahamo ag is taking a murder case to scotus

I personally do not expect the riots to be as bad this go around, even if he gets off on anything. Maybe a night or two at about the previous chimp out level, but now the unrest is inconvenient to the powers that be. People aren't going to be catch and released ready for the next night. I don't think they are going to prosecute rioters hard, but I do think they are going to keep them locked up longer and really scare the shit out of them about doing hard time, and they'll peter out a lot quicker when people are afraid of consequences.

Well you can say this, but:

Minneapolis Council Votes 11-1 to Oppose Use of Tear Gas

TPTB may not want riots on their watch, but they are certainly not a monolith. This monster isn't going to magically go away, especially when Walters and others insist on inflaming an already gas-soaked situation.

Simple, you only have standing to appeal if you are a damaged party in a legal action. The only party in a criminal charge is the defendant. The state AG is not a party to prosecution, he is the executor of the prosecution.

It's covid times baybee and these people don't have anything better to do. All it takes is one guy heading on twitter and letting his buddies know that a systemically racist judge decided chauvin isn't going to prison.
considering how much of a bitch things can be to appeal, lockdown might as well be over by the time it's heard

The judge should have just destroyed the phone. Or taken it as "evidence". Whatever the legal terms are.

Like, even if it was an accident (it wasn't), once she was caught, she lost the right to her phone in my opinion.
Agree...but worrying also is the cloud - who knows who had access to that?

yup its official.

starts in 5 minutes, and the jury deliberated for 7 hrs
Helmets on, boys, girls, and troons.
