I'm surprised at that too. I was expecting the manslaughter, but these tards convicted him of literally everything, even completely contradictory shit. They should have tried to convict him of being the Zodiac Killer too.

Mentioned it to one of my housemates. Not sure to what degree he was following the whole thing, but he looked utterly surprised when I told him Chauvin got the book thrown at him. Not sure who he was listening to for news, but he was also under the impression that Chauvin would walk, or would only catch one homicide conviction, not all three.

Did you miss the 13 officers, including the fucking Chief of Police himself, testifying that what Chauvin did was a violation of policy and not at all what he had been trained to do?

Did you miss the entirety of Dr. Tobin, the man who wrote the bible of ventilation's testimony? The highly-regarded pulmonologist with nearly 50 years of experience? Were you asleep through the detailed walkthrough he did of Chauvin's suffocation of Floyd?

The only thing this thread could even say was nitpick about him when he was testifying was that he was Irish, for Chrissakes. The facts were fucking stacked against Chauvin, only a dishonest fool would even claim that he's innocent if only to feel validated in thinking "the black guy deserved it."

Essentially the jury did what juries sometimes do - they make a statement, or an assumption. If they found guilty of one (second degree murder for example) they see the lower charges as also applicable. It’s also throwing the gauntlet down for appeal - they don’t want him to walk.
