Back when I worked in a very small arts scene, I saw this shit all the time from people with eerily similar personalities as Olly. Someone gets a little bit of notoriety in a small, niche community and suddenly thinks they're god's gift to the medium they work in and will never shut up about it. No one of importance outside the community knows who they are or cares, but they still what little "fame" they got completely go to their heads to the point of being jerks to other people and half the time their work was pretty unimpressive, as is the case with Olly here. It happens a lot in niche communities when someone gets to be a "big name" in that group. They almost always get their asses handed to them when they try to branch out, crushed under the weight of their own egos.

It's always the most spoiled, insecure ones that this happens with and I get similar vibes from Olly. A part of them knows they're not all that special so they need to keep hyping themselves up to the people that do give them the validation attention they crave. Olly once mentioned in a stream struggling to see his YouTube colleagues getting more success than him. When HBomb's charity stream made headlines and got international attention, Olly had to do one that didn't get nearly as much attention, especially outside the UK. He has to rip off Contra's aesthetic and recycle popular topics that no one cares about anymore (Jordan Peterson, etc.), because they're easy and he needs engagement. He has to treat every video he makes like a profound, art house film that "only he can make" created for audiences that naively care more about the presenter than the material. He needs to write, direct, produce and star in plays to feel special. He's the "trans princess of TERF island" because he without that image of himself his self-esteem might crumble.

I can confirm the UK apart from a few young people dont watch youtube that much and in the philosophy circle olly is either unknown or ridiculed.

I'm not too familiar with the exact criteria for donating blood but I know being on certain meds can disqualify you, so it makes me wonder if the hormones they give troons would prevent them from donating. I can’t GIVE blood because I’ve HAD blood from a British blood bank (more than a decade ago). Risk of Madcow disease apparently- which is, pun intended, proper bonkers because only 177 Brits ever developed the human variant, CJD (and IIRC only 4 from blood transfusions) and they were all diagnosed 25 years ago.
The rules around blood donation are all quite old now and originate from a time where testing for HIV was more complex/took ages to get results etc, and they are overdue an update. Hopefully they’ll have a proper look at the troon rules, because it makes no sense for a man who has sex with men to be excluded from donation if a man who has sex with men whilst wearing a wig and calling himself a lady is fine to donate.

My favourite bit of sex difference trivia is that female hearts transplanted into male bodies are significantly more likely to cause death within the first year post transplant. At first they thought it was a size thing, so they controlled for that, but men kept dying. Male hearts into female bodies doesn’t have the same risk. Thus heart transplants are transmisogynistic. Failing to control for bio sex in other organ transplants may also increase complications but it’s not yet clear cut, whereas with hearts the same findings are repeated over and over in various countries. I’ll come back and edit with a link.

Edit: looks like kidneys are also sensitive to sex difference, but potentially going both ways, rather than only being a problem F donating to M as it is with hearts?

Re: FtM blood donation, women can’t have that blood because synthetic testosterone increases the blood haemoglobin levels beyond what is normal for female humans. Men can’t have it because of the FtM has ever been pregnant (even unknowingly, for a short time) her body may have produced antibodies that are known to be dangerous to men. FtMs have to have a full blood count blood test done fairly regularly to check their haemoglobin levels aren’t dangerous. Can find citations if anyone is interested.

With regards to the whole blood/organ donation thing it makes me wonder if the UK medical system is so far gone they’ll completely disregard biology when treating someone who identifies as “non binary” and give them a liver from a non binary donor (for example) even if it doesn’t match and could put the patient’s life in danger. The wording of the website seemed to imply that.

I don't watch television myself, but from the little I've happened to see, in waiting rooms etc., I was unaware India was trans. I just thought she was that particular kind of, not ugly per se, but not attractive, that British women tend to be.
