I went ahead and read some of his English writing pieces. All of them read like online journal posts that just drag on and on because he never established a true thesis. My favorite is his ENG 1010 paper about Rhetorical Analysis where he mentions nothing about the "toumin schema" until 5 paragraphs (more than halfway through) in and gives no explanation of what it is with no mention of it prior. His writing style leads with the point he's trying to make first (which can create confusion for the reader), and then goes into grossly over-exaggerated descriptions of his point.

How Kevin has articulated within his writing assignments is pretty par for the course for 1st or 2nd year college students. It just reads as though he speed wrote it and gave it one quick glance before submitting it.

My recommendation? Read his assignment "Memoir or Profile: Why are we so Different?".

Man here. I follow this thread cause I’ve been in the convention scene for 15+ years. She is not cute or hot. She is crazy and has a medical condition she should get looked at.

I honestly find it hilarious to see her trying so hard to pull off the UwU teen thing. I know many cosplayers who have shifted their cosplay over the years as they get older, have kids, etc. Some of the best cosplays I’ve ever seen were done by older people. Saw a short woman in her 50s dressed as Edna Mode holding a sign that said NO CAPES!!! It was hilarious. Other good ones I’ve seen are a guy dressed as Gru with his 3 daughters and an large woman dressed as Ursula. Smart cosplayers play to their strengths and don’t take it too seriously but then I don’t think smart is a word anyone would ever use to describe Loony Lori.

ETA: Small gripe, I also follow the Tranch saga and I keep getting the Kevins confused. At the rate things are going it’s not long till our Kevin here troons out and makes things even harder for me.

When I first came to this thread I honest to goodness believed that Kevin was just a victim who was struggling and misguided. Being a victim of Lori myself, I felt that perhaps if Kevin was exposed to the truth enough he would realize he’s not crazy or alone and get out of there (perhaps leaving some good milk in his wake.)

After hearing from various first-hand accounts I’ve begun to think Lori’s sad excuse to recreate her reality deeply resonated with the desires of Kevin from 3-4 years ago and has enabled him to become the kow he is today. From my own experience with Lori, both in person and online, she was convinced she possessed the spring of eternal youth. Rikki had told me (of one of her many shittalk episodes) that I would age and wrinkle early but she was “immortal and would never age.” I’d like to believe that it was a figure of speech, but I’m curious if she truly believes it because I’d seen her post about it multiple times on facebook before she blocked me.

Enter Kevin, who seemingly has a strong desire to remain a youthful bishounen (bishojou?) and absolutely believes that Lori is a key to living this impossible anime dream life on sight. Sight being her at that time less edited photos on the internet. (I wonder if his perception of her was shattered the moment they met IRL hahaha) Not only did he initially help her take off on instagram, he was definitely the reason she looked good at all since her craftsmanship is so incredibly poor. He’s invested his time, money, and passion into this...project. Where’s his reward? What is his end goal here?

The impression I’m now left with is he’s definitely a willing participant. But I absolutely cannot fathom why he’s still there if he’s not getting anything out of it. He’s lost his following, his friends, his sex life is held hostage, he’s flat out broke and seems to have destroyed all his potential escape routes? Does he realize he’s posting this capslock meltdown on public? Any hope he had for making more than minimum wage in a field that requires you to have even a speck of reputation is currently being destroyed by his own hands. Does he not realize the long term consequences of his actions or does he simply not believe they apply to him?

I think I have more questions than answers on this guy at this point. My biggest question(s) being:

How the hell are these two going to survive both individually and together for the next year? 6 months? Surely this lifestyle isn’t sustainable with how poorly the two of them execute it?

and

If When Lori’s InflUwUencer “career” fails, will she still have worth to Kevin? Or is her follower count the actual only reason they’re still together?
