This is a good post summarizing why "T" initially got included in the LGB bracket - there used to be a hard line in the sand between HSTS (or "old school transexuals") and heterosexual crossdressers. In the past 15 years or so the AGP crossdressers have moved over into the troon territory - I suspect a lot of it has to do with the discourse that today the worst thing you can be is a heterosexual white male and that suddenly being "oppressed" is valued. Why keep your fetish in the bedroom if it all of a sudden can help you gain power in certain circles? There's a logic and reason why most men that troon out are middle class heterosexual male with cluster b personalities these days.
Of course, HSTS types can't really fully call it out because I don't think they fully get it themselves. When Blaire White did her videos about Riley J Dennis she just seemed to assume he wasn't "real" trans because he hadn't had any surgeries done... and then he went and did them and had to drop the whole "he's just trans trender" thing. In the past someone like Riley J Dennis would've never gone on estrogen or had surgeries.

If they’re HSTS, they’re usually decent at Instaglam makeup. AGPs, however, are never good at any makeup style.

Their general laziness and lack of natural curiosity are off the charts. Every time an unwashed ogre in clown make-up that looks like it was painted by a color-blind 3-year-old asks Transpassing if they pass and another poster gently hints at acquiring make-up, skincare and hair care skills, the troon in question barks out "how do I do THAT?"
Like... dude. There are thousands of freely accessible tutorials on Youtube and elsewhere online for you to acquire basic skills that actual girls learned when they were still in their preteens.
Here's one horrific troon I found on the MTF selfie train subreddit. I can't tell if it's filtered, but he managed to stick out in a truly horrifying way.
