I get picking your battles, but if my adult child was going online in a weed stupor, then bragging about doing coke and having violent sex with some foreigner, I'd say something, no matter how pissed my kid got.
Yes, she's an adult, but still, wouldn't most parents be horrified, even if you had an inkling that she was lying?
I was just percolating a post in my brain about this, her family. She recently said that her sister had brought up their family being shit-talked on social media because of her. She quite believably says she blew her sister off with "you just have to ignore it." Where she used to include her grandma in her life's responsibilities and has recently spoke in detail of her health issues and change of living situation, she has been strangely quiet about grandma since her livestreaming at her uncle's to
help her mom. Livestreaming at her uncle's came before her mentioning the convo with her sister, the convo came after and around the time she started livestrreaming.
Throughout the Livestreaming/THC/Tinder-go-round I've been thinking about what her family must be thinking about this behavior. I do not think this reckless behavior is new to any of them. The thing that is different, for Chantal this time around in relationship to her family, is that they now have someone in their family that is more dependent and in need of attention than Chantal, and that of course is Grandma.
She also made a comment in a live, probably in the last 2-3 days that led me to believe her communication with her family is strained. I wish I could remember which one, they all become a blur but it made me think things are strained and they are tired of her shenanigans. Is part of this spiral due to not getting attention and/or a bitch-slap from her family? It would at least make sense why she's not commenting much on grandma.
Now for the recent Tinderings:
With the caveat that Chantal Lies, no one lies 100% of the time. No one unless they are disassociated from reality 100% of the time, and that is not Chantal even taking her delusional self in mind.
What precludes Chantal's Lying is her Impulsivity, which often necessitates lying for anyone not just Chantal. Aside from the horrified here sperging she's TOTALLY LYING OMG, why is it so hard to believe someone as chronically impulsive and empty as Chantal wouldn't do something this stupid and reckless, embellishments and all? I don't get that. She lies for sure, but she
IS that reckless and stupid in her rooting around for a semblance of a life.
