Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Whang is really just a mediocre "internet culture explainer" but I think he's successful mainly because he talks a lot about relatively old memes and internet phenomena and that attracts many zoomers who want to know about this stuff.
I don't mind him tho, his videos are entertaining enough if I want to watch something while eating lunch.

other than lol at Tetsuo being on that list, dude didn't even watch much of the movies and is out right wrong about stuff such as Snuff R73, which is just a glorified compiliation of war footage of dead kids (awful stuff, but nothing to the even more high extremes people make it out to be.)

I'd rather argue that he is very selective with going hard on something, which makes his videos worse. I mean, sometimes like with Jarman he says he spent hours looking at his pictures to prove that he was the one giving an interview, but sometimes he actively avoids addressing all the bullshit in someone's story.
Remember his video about a guy with two functional dicks? Well, that guy posts pictures of his totally real dicks all the time, but he refuses to post even a short 3 sec clip, since "I don't have to prove anything to you". You know, who else had photos of "her" face all over her website, but refused to post one little video? Mystery Woman. This screams "fake" to me, yet he briefly mentions it in the end and wraps his video up.
Or how he said that the story about broken hands was real, because "reddit mods verified it". Yeah, because reddit mods are all MENSA members, there is no way some pedo-troon can become a reddit mod and actively censor all the news about himself and about his father being a child molester, it's just impossible.
And don't even get me started on the vortex of autism around that Deep, of-fucking-course, Web anime! Just try to say this with a straight face - Deep Web Anime. He literally tried to cover all the bullshit from this story with "well, but Clockman turned out to be real" - oh, shit, nigga, and Grifter is real too, and the old hard drive is full of snuff films. And later it gets much worse, but he still refuses to let it go.

No, since moderator said "I've been talking to a researcher who is making a paper on cases like OPs", but the paper was never released, despite OP telling that he is gonna link it, since it's not going to have any names. Also, that story has inconsistencies, yet he highlights only one and moves on to highlighting reddit jokes.

I honestly called bullshit from the first "Sooki Sunofavitch" video, can't recall what (besides the obvious post-2000's edginess in an old timey horror/hentai) tipped me off. I think it was something he mentions about the voice actors, but im not watching that cringefest again. :story:

Is there a decent yt podcast or something about israel keyes that's like an hour, hour and a half? I keep hearing It's up my alley for serial killer shit but all of these videos are like 9 minutes or some bubbly chick talking about eyeliner and ERMMAHGERD. I like stuff like unresolved, casefiles, dark Histories, etc, for stuff like this but unresolved's episode is mastered like shit and the music is way louder that the dialogue.

This was made even worse with users coming out saying how he would talk about anyone who criticized him he was going to hire a hitman from the deep web to kill them all. (he was being serious too lol)

His final leave came from when he sperged out hardcore claiming his ex stole the sandman story from him.
When people started to make fun of him for it again, he got angry and left the community altogether.

He then went to discord server after discord server afterwards complaining for an entire year about how they did him dirty until he was laughed off the internet entirely.

It was the funniest and dumbest thing I have ever seen

But yeah avoid him, he probably the biggest sperg out of the bunch.

I liked Whangs Resident Evil videos but didnt realize what the other shit was supposed to be and never watched.
 
The title of this thread cracked me up a little, if only because of a video I made about this guy with a similar title. I don't want to be accused to self promotion, so I'll only link to it if anyone is interested. I laid out in blunt terms why I thought Night Mind and Nexpo sucked, as well as other people who do similar videos. That was one of the first videos I made specifically for 4chan's /x/ board. I've gotten a good chunk of subscribers from doing that. I try to cover things they like and mainly do it for their entertainment. Most of the Nexpo/NM type channels dont seem to have this focus at all. They seem to be capitalizing on culture they did not create, which is one of my criticisms of them.
