It's really sad that they're acting like they're in high school.
They're treating Vic like he's that religious kid who prays at lunch, doesn't have to go to science classes due to his beliefs, and generally nice to everyone despite their cruel bullying. It's shameful that these so-called men and women are in their 40's, 50's and 60's and yet they're acting like they're high schoolers who believe if they don't "beat up" on the religious kid they'll be shunned and thrown out of their clique. I bet that most of them are probably craving so much attention and approval from Sabat that they'll do everything he says because they're afraid they'll lose their social standings and jobs.
It might be time that some of them who aren't directly involved stand up to them and Sabat and say enough is enough, holding my job over your head as some kind of leverage is unacceptable and needs to stop.

I am not the least bit impressed that anyone on Earth can speak English. That's like being impressed that someone in the area of the Mediterranean in the 1st century AD could speak Greek or Latin.
I am much more impressed when a native-born English speaker can speak any other language to any degree of proficiency, considering how unimportant (in quotidian life, anyway) non-English languages are, and how less likely it is to be familiar with them in a world where the Lingua Franca is your mother tongue.
Btw, around the time of the American Revolution English speakers were renowned polyglots. Just look at our Founding Fathers as examples.

You know, I'd probably still have gone to SacAnime if they had kept Vic, since I'd just simply ignore Jamie, Monica, and the other anti-Vic VAs. Because I'm an adult and if I don't like someone I simply won't interact with them. If someone wants to get autographs from Monica and Jamie, fine, it's their money. They either listened and believed them, or are simply ignorant to the whole thing. Not my place to tell them how to spend their money. (Yes, I'm aware that the show shown was a different one from one Vic would have attended.
