I'm naturally not a very masculine man and I'd describe my personality as completely androgynous. But how the fuck should I know how a woman feels? And how does Abighoul know? A person who lived, unlike me, the majority of his adulthood as a straight man.
A big reason why the idea of gender seems so strange to me is that nobody of us can ever now how it feels like to be the other sex. We all know how warm and cold feels because we've experienced both. But what if one half of the population only can experience warmth and the other coldness? How should the "warm people" know how coldness feels like when they've never experienced it. We can only differentiate between two things if we've experienced both. But there was never once a human being who was able to be first born as a girl, then socialized as a girl/woman, was born again as a boy, then socialized as a boy/man and can tell us how both sides feel like. Even if there was a person who actually experienced the world as both sexes, one could argue that by having experienced both your perception will still be different from normal men and women.

It may also be worth noting how masculinity and femininity are pretty diverse. A guy who's done hard manual labor his whole life is going to have a different idea of what it "means to be a man" than a big city businessman will. A conservative woman will have a different perception of what being a woman is than a more liberal woman. And everyone's idea of their own gender shit changes with time, culture, socio-economic class, upbringing, etc. Olly doing the whole "teehee, I'm a silly little woman" bit makes it clear he doesn't care to understand or appreciate that. I don't care if a guy wants to wear a dress or be however gender non-conforming as they want, but Olly acts like clothes and makeup are the core of what it means to be a woman, and that's laughably reductive.

Olly is clearly insecure despite his protests to the contrary and perhaps him going from being a buff, manly-man, daddy Dom to dainty, posh coquettish woman demonstrates his lack of interest or understanding in gender, rooted in his deep insecurity.

Paris is talking about how much trans visibility has changed in the last many years and then catches himself (since he’s talking to someone who literally “became trans” two months ago, so Paris quickly adds something about how it’s “only recently” that he trooned out. Olly continues giggling manically and says he was “taking notes on the sidelines for a long time.” You can tell he’s uncomfortable with the topic because it’s so clear what a scam he’s running and that this conversation - between someone who was a super flamey kid, who was bullied by his classmates and stern father, and who wore makeup fifteen years ago and clearly has a major problem with gender - and this larping fool who“came out” this year and never presented as anything other than a retarded beta male before, is a total farce and shows how full of shit Olly’s 24/7 “oppression”talk really is.

I don't know who this Paris person is, but I can at least appreciate how they're trying to have some nuance about their experiences and the reality that if you're a part of any deviant social group, it's not going to be sunshine and roses. Olly's position of how much fun he's having being trans just shows how that experience can only come from a place of privilege (Posh white dude with money and a following that would accept him no matter what.) Olly doesn't even understand the "trans experience" let alone the "female experience." LGBT Pride also was never about "look at how fun this is!" but rather a movement to not hide who you are in the face of social shame and real historical oppression of those groups.

To the point: Olly doesn't seem to want to be a woman at all (unlike the claims of other trans people) he simply wants to be trans. Actually, I'm not even sure he wants that considering how dismissive and childish he acted toward Paris, in a public interview for fuck's sake. Olly just wants to be the "trans princess of TERF island."

Yeah but let's remember there's more commonalities between these types of men than differences. Otherwise we would not even have the concept of gender. And peoples' concepts of masculinity across socio-economic class and upbringing don't change that much, either. They're actually remarkably streamlined everywhere except for the West. In fact even if you look at minority groups in the West - Indians, Blacks, Asians - there isn't really a discernable difference between poor and rich masculinity aside from clothes. And even when it comes to women, it wasn't that long ago that a Liberal and Conservative woman would have most things in common and it's only fairly recently that they became polarized, but if you boil it down it mostly comes to views on promiscuity.
