Just adding my two cents after seeing the ID discussion, but i wonder what made cover branched out to ID in the first place? did they not do market research beforehand? what made them think "ah yes let's open up a branch in some backwater country that has no superchat feature available, surely we will profit from this ". Sure the moderate success of JKT48 and the low running cost made it seem like a safe-low risk investment, but i still think it's not good enough reason to justify opening up a branch there, experimental they may be.
It's a whole different story for EN however as it's easily a nobrainer and it was the next logical step to capitalize the ever growing demography that is western anime fans with how mainstream anime has become in recent years, it's basically a goldmine.
Don't get me wrong though, i think the ID girls are great since we got hidden gems in Moona, Risu and breakout character like Ollie and they were basically prototype EN in a way.
