I agree. I mentioned Spez' editing of TheDonald posts, and that may have given the impression that I am on the Right and hate trans people. Not at all! I didn't like Trump and didn't vote for him. I have a lot of liberal opinions that piss off my conservative friends, and a handful of conservative opinions that piss off my lefty buddies. So generally I don't talk politics much. It's why I like the Farms so much. If I wanted a lefty hugbox, I could join ResetEra, if I wanted a right hugbox, I could join Parler or whatever is left of pol.

However, I do think it is appalling that a major CEO would slum as an admin and modify user posts. That's insane that Reddit would even allow that to happen at that point in their growth. It's not unusual for a CEO to be hands-on early in a company's development as they are oftentimes the guy who wrote the code! But at that point, there is no way Spez should have had that hands-on admin access to the site. The board should have enforced some kind of separation of duties policy. I could care less whose political posts he was editing, the mere fact of it is bad enough. And it really paints a picture for understanding HOW somebody like Bardfinn could get the Reddit powers he has.

If you want some non-conservative reasons to hate Reddit, hell, just check out their controversies section on wikipedia. I thought of including the story of the Redditors who thought they found the Boston Bomber and harrassed some young Hindu guy to the point he killed himself. But I realized it would probably just elicit a bunch of "WTF? I love Reddit now! Amirite? B-b-b-based!" reactions and I also wanted to save space. I do note that incident alone gives Reddit a higher kill count than the Farms!

In looking at Steve Akins, I saw immediately that the only things he does to pass is facemorph filters and claim he is on HRT, which could just be another lie. He doesn't strike me as trans at all and just someone who likes to LARP at various things online. Seeing his MALE mugshots, sitting in a hallway waiting for my files as nothing but violent-looking MALES passed on the way to their hearings and surly MALE bailiffs hung out on breaks, and reading about his very MALE crimes, and saying his very MALE name to multiple clerks stripped away any "she is Penny" notions from my brain. If you had quizzed me on his "Penny" name while I was sitting there, I would have failed. That's how "not trans" this experience was. I was investigating a MAN and wasn't going to waste mental space on "respecting" him. The only thing "woman" about the morning was his victim and the sweet Mexican lady at the criminal records who was super helpful.

The Frank Crowley building had all the criminal stuff I was looking for. It was just 21 pages, so I had them print them all. You put in your request with name and phone #, then they call you back within a half hour while you wait outside in the hall.

The George Allen family courthouse was more of a pain in the ass. Unlike the criminal records, you can go to a terminal, but that 15 minute limit is a ballbuster. You could ask for all files to be printed and skip the terminal, but that would cost you 125-175 bucks in Steve's case, I think. It was a lot of pages. So I wanted to sort it out, but didn't have time. I would suggest to anybody looking to get more data that they know EXACTLY what they want before they go in. I think the main receipts of use would be a) proof of wage garnishment and b) the multiple failures to appear. The rest was pretty boring, though I admit I didn't find it all. I think it would also be good to look at the documents at the chronological end of the list to see what the latest details are. That is my biggest regret on my use of time.

ETA: Tightened this up as my first post went far wider than I expected and I want non-Kiwis to be able to find the most relevant information quickly. Also I changed the amount I think one would need to spend to get all family court files. I had originally thought $200 or more, but thinking about it more, it would likely be between $125-175.

Here's why I personally believe CCarroll's claims about AHS:

1) Bardfinn has a long documented history of openly exculpating predatory behaviour aimed at children. It's the culmination of everything he has posted on Reddit over the years, like openly defending incest while saying "incest is not unethical", running a subreddit literally named after blowjobs (/r/mouthfeel) where he encourages young ContraPoints fans to post about their transitions and sex-lives, his comments about that female teacher who had sex with her own students, his own gross comments about his own sex lives on subreddits and discussions where such comments were totally uncalled for, his tweet about how he will no longer hide his sexuality. All these taken together to me indicate the fact that Bardfinn is not above something as heinous as urging others to post CP on an enemy subreddit to manufacture the pretext for taking it down.

2) The fact that Bardfinn has repeatedly tried and failed to get /r/detrans banned, even attempting to hijack the subreddit, that alone to me shows that he is not above using dirty tricks to get his way, and that Reddit is tolerating him even and despite being aware of his use of dirty tricks to get enemy subreddits banned.

3) Just the overall degenerate nature of the milieu that Bardfinn is a part of and represents on Reddit, as well as the kind of company he keeps with the League Trolls, these taken together make it highly likely that he and his fellow thugs on AHS would engage in the activities discussed in CCarroll's video.

4) The fact that Bardfinn has been banned and unbanned and allowed to get away with acts and statements that would've gotten virtually any other Redditor long banned to me shows that he is operating with the knowledge of having full immunity on Reddit, no matter how extreme he gets in the methods he uses to target his enemies. As I have often pointed out in this thread, Bardinn likes to engage in histrionics claiming that he supposedly fears for his life, but his behaviour on Reddit and elsewhere shows the very opposite of that: he is openly taunting his opponents, posting comments saying "I want to mock you", and other behaviours showing that he's anything but scared and in fact knows he can get away with whatever he wants. Yes, I do consider someone this self-satisfied capable to resorting to something like planting CP to take his enemies down.

5) The fact that Bardfinn is aware of the fact that he's breaking the law by secretly profiling Redditors, yet he continues this activity that he knows to be illegal.

6) Bardfinn general willingness to lie and misrepresent himself, and his attacks against anyone who challenges his narrative or demands proof for his claims, like his claims of being a researcher or engaged in legitimate research.

7) The fact that Bardfinn would lie about he supposedly doesn't even have a Discord account, while openly posting a screengrab of his Discord account. This kind of casual, straight up lying and deceiving is what sealed the deal for me.

Lastly, the fact that Bardfinn is going around Reddit threatening to report all of his critics to the FBI, bragging about getting himself a lawyer and acting all litigious... but he has seemingly never done anything to bring CCarroll himself to justice. If what CCarroll claims about Bardfinn in this video is supposedly a total fabrication and provably defamatory, why hasn't the ligitious Bardfinn and his lawyer gone gunning for CCarroll?

It is for these reasons TAKEN TOGETHER that I personally believe the AHS whistleblowers' video.

If what CCarroll said about Bardfinn and AHS, have CCarroll prosecuted, not those of us who saw this video and believed it because of everything else.

If /sneed/superstraight mods have a list of accounts that they suggest did this, they should make it public. AHS has denied up and down that they have posted CP on enemy subreddits to have them taken down, so unless AHSers were dumb enough to engage in such blatantly criminal acts under their own Reddit accounts, it would be almost impossible to trace backtrace a sockpuppet account to a specific AHSer IRL without multiple subpoenas to multiple parties, only one of which would be Reddit.

And how do YOU know what Bardfinn is doing with his API access? He has never made any of his supposed "research" public - which is what an actual researcher is supposed to do, make their results AND their methods public for other researchers to go over in peer review. He has never done this, so it's not research and he's not a researcher. We have to reverse-engineer what he's been doing based on scattered Reddit posts which are already unreliable given his pathological lying and myth-making. But since you apparently know exactly what he's been doing with his API access, by all means do show us what he's been trawling and data-mining because he certainly won't, plus he has been lying about how many Redditors he has secretly profiled (he now claims it's "only" 30k-40k when his own statements show it's more like in the millions, cos Bardfinn admits he trawled every account that ever posted in /r/The_Donald and that subreddit had millions of subscribers and participants at its peak.

Secondly, you claim that API access is "public" but people that want access to the API for research purposes (which is what Bardfinn purports to do with his API access) have to submit a request to Reddit beforehand detailing the kind of research they intend to do before they gain access to the API for research. Did Bardfinn ever do this? Did he let Reddit know in advance he was going to secretly politically profile and data-mine their users with no prior notice or consent? Pray do tell us if you have any insider information.

To be honest I think it will be pretty easy to dance around this. As much as the admins bend over backwards to protect Bardfinn the prohibition is mostly against mentioning her by (user)name. If you make a comment like "why should we listen to AHS when some of its mods are known felons and wife-beaters?" then yes Bardfinn will seethe and report it but it fails to constitute harassment similar to how you can't get banned for saying that AHS posts CP.

Why are you making excuses for this kind of censorship and for Reddit inventing these arbitrary banlists of That Which Must Never Be Named, making Redditors have to watch their mouth for wanting to discuss something/someone that should perfectly acceptable to discuss? None of these people are probably in a position to be like "that's it, I quit, I'm going to reallocate my free time to hitting the gym and teaching my son how to throw a football." It's crucial that their whole social circle and sense of self-worth be tied to the clique. Deprogramming would take a while and the group would have time to cover its tracks (eg. shuffle around to alt accounts and such) before they started pointing fingers.

This also makes the group resistant to infiltration, since you'd have to go through extensive personal vetting to really be a part of one of these cliques where the really interesting shit is happening.

Don't doubt their incompetence or willingness to eat their own. Don't know about a troon cabal, but I strongly suspect that the trannie in the pictures below on the right with the dress and long dark brown hair is the one who got the League of Extraordinary Trolls introduced to Reddit HQ and is the one making sure they get a pass and their accounts immediately reinstrated no matter how many times they are found to be breaking the rules and are reported to the Admins for it. Whenever an Admins applies the Rules objectively and bans a League Troll - as has happened to Bardfinn himself three times already - I bet this asshole is the one who taps that Admin on the shoulder, "Um, not that one", and boom, the account is immediately restored.

I've read the thread. I've been familiar with Bardfinn for a while, since she was getting poked at on /r/drama. It's not enough. Most people who have no idea who she is and never will. It's not going to get picked up by MSM. I'm content to agree to disagree on this and see how things play out over the coming months though. Even for Challenor her pedo ties were known for a while before Reddit canned her - it's only when she started working the job that people started speaking out enough. But obviously Bardfinn isn't being hired by Reddit.

Also, I disagree with the idea that she has some sort of privileged API access at Reddit. I've seen no strong evidence that she does anything that one can't do with basic webscraping, public API access, and intermediate DBA skills and a lot of free time. It's been a while since I browsed the full thread and I think maybe she's spoken a couple times as if she had some sort of privileged information but it seems likely that she's just exaggerating/lying.

Granted, if Reddit really was granting her some sort of special access, that would be a story.
