Everybody thinks they're Baldwin in this scene. Especially Bob. When you're saying that everybody's abandoned you and they're wrong, you're the excuse making fuck up, not them.

See, people like Bob thinks that moral and political superiority gives him an edge on politicians, writers, actors, Elon Musk, and former presidents. Those people will be in history books for accomplishing things. Bob, like the rest of the "activist" Twitter critics will be buried naked in a cardboard box and history won't care.

I remember thinking like Bob. Then I turned 20. Turns out screaming on the internet won't ever equal one hour of working with elder charities or donating to the humane society. Your little videos never got a dog adopted or helped a shut in get to the doctor. I've never seen a person that needs to know coffee's for closers more than Bob.

Is that really what happened?
Yes.

So some woman who allegedly stormed the capitol has a literal court order to wear a mask when ever she leaves the house while her trial is pending. She brought heat to herself by wearing a mesh mask and this is "possibly in violation of a court order". That's it. That's the whole story. Bob finds some rando, I still have no idea how he finds what he thinks is easy pickings other than going through every quote tweet of every news story, and tries to talk down to said rando. We then learn how Bob was once hurt... such sad.

Silly John! They won't discard Bob until he can no longer function as a meat shield.

Beyond Bob's burning rage that this woman is walking around free, ignoring the fact that in America we're supposed to have a presumption of innocence and the interesting bit with a person who was released from custody while her trial is pending as long as she wore a mask anywhere that isn't her home and I'm super curious of the legality of that, Bob's little "I've been discarded before" rant is more interesting. It's interesting because:

1. I can almost guarantee that he doesn't ever believe that he's to blame with all these border line gaslightings that keep happening to him.
2. He believes that he's better than anyone who ever voted for Trump, month 4 of the fall of OrangeManBad and Bob still can't quit him, because he's been thrown away like a dirty cum rag and that's made him a better person because he's been hurt beofe.
3. "a Trump" is apparently some kind of class now? He says it twice so...?
4. The fading youtuber with no children of his own and no future screams into the void "I'll NEVER become an Obsolescent." with obsolescent capitalized because it is a proper noun evidently.

I cannot wait till that actually happens and some celebrity lights up a bunch of champagne socialist. Depending on who it is, the coping and seething will be something to behold.
Silly Bob. "Obsolescent" is an adjective, not a noun.

I forgot to include the page where the teacher gives in, and tells RiRi that she will never be Tony Stark after noticing her pouting.

To be slightly fair, this is a completely accurate example of modern day activists.

"Please oppress me."

Why do modern day activists have a fetish for reliving shit like the sixties and fifties?
For validation, of course. It was the age of literally fighting for your rights, which meant getting beaten up by crooked cops and spit on by water tanks, and not having the support of your family, but having full support of (most of) your friends.

Except nowadays, a good portion of the populace and those evil capitalists they pretend to hate but still buy from, actually agree with their stances and even actively give out all kinds of support. That's not rebel, and they know it, but they want their fantasy. They want their folk and rock songs, their Woodstock, their Kent State, their Larry Flynt, their Abbie Hoffman, their Joan Baez and their Gil Scott-Heron. The death of George Floyd was their MLK murder, and they want more, much more.

Because they've been raised on a steady diet of activism for rights being the only truly moral action available to a person. Every kid wants to be a heroic avatar for their society's moral code. What do you expect to happen when the only moral code left is "protest on behalf of the oppressed?"

Of course, the best part of the joke is that those eras and movements have already been romaticized to hell and back by the media, meaning that you can never, ever live up to the expectations for such a (mythologized) movement. They're pining for a pot-and-patchouli Camelot, not anything that ever really existed.

If the LAPD had any balls and didn't act as the entertainment industry's private security force, they'd have quietly gone home in the middle of the broadcast and let all those fuckers fend for themselves against the junkies, homeless, and gangbangers.
LAPD has super incestuous relationship with Hollywood: they get paid BIG bribe money to cover up stars scandals and crimes and Hollywood also rewards the LAPD by dolling out cushy "consultant" work on their LA filmed cop shows, along with private off-the-book paid in cash security gigs and cameos on shows and such to keep the LAPD docile and under their thumb and not doing anything to stand up for their fellow officers when Hollywood shits on them.

It's far too late for Bob. What does society need with a morbidly obese film critic who rarely leaves his basement?

My generation (millennials) grew up in a time of peace and prosperity after the collapse of the Soviet Union and LGBT rights have made great strides since the 90s. I believe that it's in due part to boredom and how Boomers lionized the civil rights and (second-wave) feminist movements so we along with Zoomers looking for our "great struggle." Throw in a heap of critical race theory, and we have countless adults of middle/upper-middle upbringing LARPing as revolutionaries.

Why do modern day activists have a fetish for reliving shit like the sixties and fifties?
I'd say that's the last time that any of their ballyhooed change happened.

My personal take on this is that, at least here in the sates, we've been fed a steady diet of "The world is dying and only YOU can save it! Won't you take up the mantle and save the world from X?". Fill in X with whatever social/political/ecological/whateverical "problem" you want. So you take a generation or two or three of kids growing up hearing that the world will end if they don't do something, the subtext of that is when people get hurt from X then it's your fault for not stepping up and doing something, get them rabid to change X and then when fuck all happens because of X, An Inconvenient Truth's message that the east coast would be underwater by 2010ish (I can't remember exactly) if we didn't do radical change comes to mind, now you got a bunch of blue balled people who've been told from birth that X is a problem and only they can save the world from X with no hope for release.

Come to find out, no, you cannot change the world. All your activism, marches, protests, petitioning does jack shit because the world is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar too big for one person to affect it. And the kicker is the one place where they could actually make real change is their local community which they'll abandon and ignore to impose their will on everybody. Whether this is hubris or ignorance I don't know.

There's also the issue of the growing number of childless people. Children are the greatest, easiest, and most time proven way to leave a legacy. There are people who will never have children because they're too busy living out their fantasy of still being a kid but with an adult paycheck, see Bob, or they kill them out of convenience, see Lindsay. Either way they've have severed their metaphorical and very tangible biological future. Where do they go from there?

All of this stems from a lack of purpose or higher calling. I'd say a good chunk of these activists are, at the best, agnostic so there's no higher power to answer or be accountable to, nothing to help guide them or show them what their purpose is, so they create their own god. Just look at the fervor that people have just talking about the coof and trusting the science. Because this is their religion they must spread the word of their god to all corners of the earth and make believers out of everyone. Unfortunately for any apostate, you disbelief doesn't just send you to hell but will take others with you so you MUST be changed or stopped.

I'm not a smart man so sometimes it difficult for me to put into proper words what I'm thinking so I'll summate myself with a quote about this from C.S. Lewis

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”

One common thread among these slacktivists is that they want to have won, not win. They don't want to put in the blood, sweat, and tears to win; they just want the accolades, fame, and glory that comes. They are a generation of participation trophy winners who've never known true hardship in their lives. They put up with the cops arresting them because they know daddy (or a Democrat fund) will bail them out, and they'll never see the inside of a Federal prison. They riot and loot because they know the age of Bull Connor and his dogs have passed, and that the MAGAs will not go to the effort of tracking them down and burning their homes down around them. If people put up the slightest resistance to them, they run screaming. They're unwilling to stand up to any organized enemy.

Isn't that what I said? ;)

Bingo. I've seen more than once, especially among trans supporters, "We all know how this is going to go. Can't we just get there already." (literal argument I've seen)

A nice, big rum and coke helps with that. I'm not even being funny when I say that some of the best posts I've made in response to Kino Roberto have been when I've had a drink, which is probably because he's drunk when he writes them.
Problem is I get even more mellow and forgiving when I'm drunk. Bobby's sociopathic rant would upset me even less than when I'm sober and I would not feel compelled to compile.

[Godzilla laying eggs is] not trans, that's literal parthenogenetic female OR Hermaphrodite
Some lizards do reproduce parthenogenetically. Not everything in nature points to human transsexualality; we should decolonialize our idea about animals.

To quote a certain Hong Kong songwriter and with apology to Dickens, "It is not the best of times because I'm not in the worst of mood."

I know almost no SJWs has read War and Peace; if they did they would have identified themselves in Pierre Bezukhov, who feels ill-at-ease and lost in his luxurious milleu during peace, and only gets in touch with himself -- and his life's purpose -- when he is caught in the turmoil and terror of war.

OK, light refreshment: Chris in 2009 wearing the outfit of that Chris:

It seems like they get lower and lower every year. I'm starting to wonder if anyone outside of Hollywood even still thinks these are important?
Look at what the Academy nominated back in the day and what they nominate now. Can you honestly say you've seen any of the Best Picture winners from the past decade? There's your problem. The incessant political ramblings are not the major issue at play.
It's far too late for Bob. What does society need with a morbidly obese film critic who rarely leaves his basement?
Any reasonable person could look at those facts, glance over at Bob's Twitter feed and then come to the logical conclusion to that question.

Now, I still have yet to figure out if Bob is delusional, stupid, or self-aware enough to know the answer, but he will never dignify it with a coherent response. He'll stubbornly insist that he matters and will always matter unlike half of America's population. There are great many things about him that are reprehensible, but this is an aspect about him that is just plain pathetic.
