Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Well, even if you are 21 you might want to consider getting the vaccine if you work at a healthcare facility in contact with old people or people with diminished/suppressed immune systems. You don't really want to be a carrier in the few days you immune system takes to get rid of the virus.
The nursing home residents are already all vaccinated. They should be fine.

Random LA Update: I drove into downtown LA yesterday to do some errands and spent a couple hours walking around downtown. It's 90% masked up, outdoors, on the street. Very disappointing... (My home suburb is probably 50/50 masks outdoors.)
Downtown also had tons and tons of homeless - but not a single one asked me for money, which was weird - and many many boarded up storefronts, BLM flags, & signs, and tons of graffiti. Honestly, it kinda looked like a war had gone through the downtown district. Restaurants have largely reopened but the upscale club I wanted to visit was still closed. Security guards were everywhere, around the big buildings and I stopped and chatted with one and he said they're having a lot of trouble with the homeless. There were new signs up saying that you could only put tents on the sidewalk between certain hours, and they listed a phone number which you could call if your belongings had been confiscated in a sweep.

It's been a while since I been here. Are the skeptics of covid winning yet?
I mean considering:
1) I got COVID and didn't even notice
2) I live in a state that's not locked down with no mask mandate
3) I will probably be able to get a doctor's note excusing me from taking the vaccine
Yeah, I'd say I'm winning.

How's the lockdown working for you, leaf? Good thing you followed the rules, eh?

Don't mind me, just here to ruin everyone's nice evening:

"You're the reason we can't get out of lockdown, Get your vaccine so we can #stopthespread". So tired of being asked if I got the vaccine or not, went to the dentist the other day and just about everyone there asked if I had gotten it. Funnily enough the office was located next to our local mall, they've been using the emptied out anchor location to give vaccines to those not working in healthcare. Literally no one there, the dentist assistant kept remarking about it "oh usually there's lines out the door". Every time I've driven past at most I see like 3-4 cars outside and those are probably just the nurses.

Good people are starting to question these injections. There are drugs that can be used HCQ, Ivermictin and zinc to name a few that can easily cure (99%+ if caught early) COVID and other coronaviruses. There is no need to take these experimental injections.

Big Pharma is hiding this because they spent God knows how much on these shots. The fact that Big Pharma/Bill Gates won't reveal all the ingrediants in these things alone should be enough reason not to take them. Lastly it appears that health insurance companies are not covering for death or injuries caused by the shots.

The fat one is a prime candidate for covid complications to be fair, if I was anywhere near that size I'd probably be rushing out to get the shot too. A 40+ BMI is considered extremely high risk.
It's probably far too optimistic of me, but it would be nice if the biggest casualty of the coof is the fat acceptance crowd. No, there is no such thing as "healthy at any size," there are objectively weight levels that are unhealthy for you, with the coof being only the latest example as already overworked lungs fail to hold up to assault by a novel virus. Our bodies are simply not designed to carry hundreds of pounds of fat around all the time, and every day you try to force it only increases the amount of damage you do. And eventually, something will break, and you'll have only yourself to blame.

A little overweight? Not the end of the world. 300+ lb. landwhale? Lay off the cake and go take a walk, fatty.

God, I miss r/fatpeoplehate. They were doing God's work.

"COVID didn't kill them because they're fat! COVID killed them because its so deadly, plus the fatphobia of the medical system killed them"

LongCOVID seems to be the big scary thing again. "Expert" expects tens of thousands of people "in their prime" suffering from chronic illnesses as a result of the Coof, and all the ME/CFS-awareness activists are out and about telling everyone about their burden (if they can manage to get up that day, ohhhhh it's so haaaaaard).
Yeah, viral infections fuck you up for quite a while. You'll get over it. Well, you won't if you forever stay in bed and home, never doing anything to recover.
Ever heard of Morbus Mohl? It's a German thing. A guy named "Mohl" moderated a health show on TV for 30 years, and every time he talked about a sickness with certain symptoms, the doctors would note an increase in people coming in with those symptoms the next days. Hypochondria, really. Also, Morbus Google or Cyberchondria.
Now imagine it's not just a TV show that is aired once a month, but a 24/7 terror propaganda news cycle that has been going on for a year, intruding into your daily life at all times. Constant reminders that a deadly plague is out and about, that you could drop dead any minute.
People are fucked. Even if the pandemic is officially declared over, there will be thousands and millions who will want a piece of that LongCOVID pie. It'll be many years until it's cleared from their brains.

God, is baizuo culture so hyperfixated on never blaming fatties for ANY of their health problems that it's fed into their COVID paranoia? I'm starting to think that's part of it. "It couldn't possibly be their weight...all weights are normal! Oh no, this virus kills normal people!"

Wokies actually believe this. Now, wokies make up a very small % of American culture, but they are unfortunately vocal and have the ears & wallets of media/corporations/etc.

The other issue is that people think COVID actually does kill normal people at any statistically significant rate. I've seen it on Facebook where people will claim that "the only reason its mortality in kids & young adults is so low is because it hasn't effected them yet".
Which is retarded, because if the odds of you catching it and dying are 1/1000, they don't suddenly go up to 40/2000 or 100/5000.

Its like the COVID version of "well ackychually, those crime statistics are because cops are racist and more likely to arrest black people!" where the inconvenient/problematic statistic is hand-waved, not through refutation, relevancy or critique of methodology, but rather through simply treating the otherwise problematic statistic as proof of the conclusion they were going to reach anyways.

Apologies if this is incoherent rambling. Night shift is a bitch.

Oh I've been relatively certain (without actually checking, mind you, because like everyone I'm both lazy and always right) that the "real" death rate among people who aren't already grossly unhealthy is basically nonexistent. COVID kills less than one percent of adults under the age of 40? Yeah I think if you discounted the forkmouths, sugarfeet, and emphysematics you'd be down to like...100 very unlucky people. Everyone has some story about a friend of a friend of a friend who was totally healthy and died at 35 from the coof, but nobody I've met actually knows anyone who's so much as been hospitalized, grandma included.
