I was technically going to come back much later in the day than this, but this conversation got so butchered by Wu's frantic and useless censorship I had to reconstruct it via screencaps.

It is highly important, as it shows Wu is so damn butthurt about dissent even respectful allies who otherwise agree with Wu on everything else get silenced and their replies ignored if they break faith with any aspect of Wu's party line.

So, here's something that's always kinda bugged me. For all of Wu's talk of female empowerment and how she dislikes women being portrayed as shit in video games, her designs are... kinda fetishized and, well, fucking sexist. I mean:

1) Long hair is actually impractical for combat situations, since it's something that can easily be grabbed and, you know, exploited. Usually averted with "rule of cool" but... ummmm... JUST LOOK AT SOME OF THAT SHIT. How much hair gel is needed to keep some of that stuff up?

2) All of her characters, with their thin bodies and weird proportions, look like they all suffer from anorexia. If you twisted one of their arms it looks like it would pop out of the socket.

3) Skintight jumpsuits are horrible in ANY situation. They don't breathe well so they get hot as fuck and their very idea limits free-flowing mobility, so you are fucked beyond belief if you're trying to avoid getting hit or something. This might also just be me, but it looks kinda like latex from my perspective and I think latex also has a tendency of fucking squeaking.

4) What the fuck is that makeup?

I guess the argument is that you want to make some kind of pro-feminist design that at the same time shows that the character is still female and exhibits feminine traits, but uhhhhh...

I'm also rather sure real-life female fighters rarely ever wear high-heeled pumps.
(at least as long as they're on the battlefield and not back at the base)

This is assuming that 1) John has ever actually designed a game (rather than rely on his husband/lackeys to do it) and 2) That he has any intention of ever releasing a game on steam.

If someone I knew who knows nothing about computers and had disposable income asked me what kind of computer they should get I would tell them to get a mac. They're easy to use and it's really hard to mess one up completely. How John managed to do that by sending emails and shitposting on twitter 100 times a day I have no idea.

Don't worry, I have more in case Wu tries to burn stuff (I'll drop that much later, some of the responses to Wu's bullshit are hilarious, even from most of Wu's own allies), but short version is that John here is desperately trying not to alienate his radical SJW allies while not scaring off the more moderate.
