man sometimes i envy phil, not because of his dumbness and autistic way of talking and doing things

but man that dude makes money hand over fist doing nothing but sitting on his ass, bitching and moaning about how shit his life is cause he has to sit on his ass a couple hrs a day and play games shittly and beg.

while i work my ass off to make what he does. which just makes me more envious and confused as to why this dude sits around crying like a bitch about how hard his life is while he sits in an isolated AC room with all his gadgets and shit, if i could make that money too doing what he does. sitting around in my home a couple of hrs a day playing games and bitching for 6 figures. id do that shit in a heartbeat

How Phil can convince himself that he's a good gamer when he does this is beyond me.

Obviously elite speedrunning tactics. Like in Sekiro when you get an enemy in a door/corner trap.

Phil's always been that way for as long as I can remember, nitpicking at everything and not even wanting to bother suspending one's disbelief, even if it's something that's not even realistic(E.g. like how he complained about symbiote generators in Spider-Man PS1 not making sense...in a game called "Spider-Man").

Phil doesn't even have money; he is legally bankrupt. Every penny his pinwheels give him go straight through his fingers.

DSP has made over $2,000,000 in the last decade, and his only asset is the home equity on the condo he got by accident because the value of the condo increased. He has literally no other assets except for that, made clear in his bankruptcy filings.

Do you know the 3K lemon lore? Essentially his PC is $3k, but DSP thinks that expensive == better. He bought a server PC, not a gaming PC.

Here's a video that shows his CPU alone capping out in the task manager. Back then the GPU didn't show, so I don't know if his GPU was maxing out as well but I don't think so for that particular game. Anyways, you can always find his current parts online.

So basically, actual new releases wouldn't be able to run on his PC at all when streaming.

Sorry for replying to an old post, but I always laughed at this video. He took a notoriously bad PC port to test his hardware. The game had strong pop-in on most PCs due to the megatexture technology and the game also didn't have many settings due to Carmack saying the auto configurator was better than manual settings. Had Phil tried any of the other thousand games he would probably think his PC was one of the best out there.

So, after reading some of the recent posts, my brain put two and two together:

1) Phil is such an incompetent piece of shit that he prefers simple games or games that basically play themselves.

2) If you know anything about Balan Wonderworld, it's that it's insultingly basic by having a development focus of every single button only doing ONE thing per costume, the levels are uninspired, and there's not really a story whatsoever.

Conclusion: Somebody please GOD get Phil to play Balan Wonderworld. It's not a good game, but it was designed to have the least complex gameplay imaginable...meaning Phil will still fuck it up somehow.

At least he's only wearing one vest. I seriously could not believe my eyes when I came back and saw that he started doing that at some point. I knew he had no dignity, but holy shit...

I'll never get over how insane it is to prefer this kind of life over virtually any alternative. Spending six days a week being pissed off by all kinds of shit, in front of a pack of retards, and us mentally-ill nudniks, forever. I could never tolerate such a thing. I have been overweight, friendless, depressed, and broke, but god damn it I hated it more than I hated doing something about it. Phil is the exact opposite, and it's beyond my comprehension.

@Pargon Speaking of wacked priorities, it's nuts that as much as he hates being made fun of for being a child, he just can't help displaying his love of childish things, like Bugsnax. You would think he would steer clear of such games in an attempt to keep up the appearance of being legit, but no, that would take too much effort or something.

You need to remember that he's forfeited everything else in exchange. It didn't have to be like that, either. He used to be surrounded by people who liked him and he used to go to exciting events. All of that is gone now and is never coming back, all due to his own missteps.
It's possible that you're getting the short end of the stick right now, and I can imagine how much that sucks, but at least the doors are still potentially open for you.
