Being in the hakwon (private after school academy) system in Korea for years, I've seen more than a few Bob's come in and out. Most of them are female surprisingly. Fortunately for the sanity of the foreigners involved and especially the Koreans, they tend to not stick around to the end of their year-long contracts. Of course, they never know that the rest of their colleagues still there have a long gripe session over pork barbecue and soju once they go.

I really can't imagine that Bob made any lasting friends or had a great reputation at any place he physically worked at.

A large reason people say Trump is a failed businessman is because he filed for bankruptcy half a dozen times, without knowing exactly what he did and why.

There are three types of bankruptcy in the USA that are commonly filed for: Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13. Chapter 7 is what most people think of when they hear bankruptcy: you go to your creditor and say "I have nothing to pay you back, please show mercy and cancel the debt." Chapter 13 is when you can pay the creditor, but only over a period of time; you set up a payment plan and pay the debt back one bit at a time. Chapter 11 is for businesses, and is what Trump has filed for. With Chapter 11, you tell your creditors to hold off on collecting the debt until you have restructured and reorganized your business and are able to pay them back.

What Trump did was acquire struggling businesses, and then immediately file for Chapter 11, keeping the creditors at bay until he was able to restructure those businesses and then payed off the debt, turning the once-struggling businesses into money-making machines.
