Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

You transmitting a new and deadly disease to someone vulnerable is not natural cause, moron. Read up on epidemiology and the spread of viruses please.
Unless you're welding people in their houses or live on an island that has banned boats, you will never stop an easily transmissible disease that has animal vectors with lockdowns, nor can even a vaccine eliminate it. You're trying to hold up a crumbling castle with sand and will save a few lives at the cost of making billions of people miserable.

If you're a vulnerable person and go out in public when a deadly disease is around, it's all on you for getting sick. No different than playing in traffic or holding a lightning rod in a thunderstorm. Now be responsible for your own safety and stop fighting biology, viruses have been doing this shit for over 4 billion years, they aren't going to stop because enough people wore two masks, stayed the fuck home, and took a doses of sketch medicine.

Update from my open mask-free red state: aka racism central.

Last week my favorite gas station removed their mask signs at the door and some of the employees no longer wear masks. Today it was the same at the local safeway, no mask signs at the door (they never enforced it anyway) and a few of the workers didn't have masks.

edit: Almost forgot I bought a mountain bike a few days ago at a locall owned small bike shop. No mask signs, all employees were mask free. Was a pleasant experience and I pick up my new bike tomorrow.

Safeway and that gas station were the last few stores that even had signs for masks and/or social distancing, most other stores ditched them a while ago (especially smaller non-chains stores). I think the maskless push will accelerate here and we'll be free completely done with em within a month or two. The last hold out will probably be the hospital.

Carry on with your bickering, I pity blue state dwellers especially the true believer ones. /laughs in free and open state 8^D

oh sorry lemme translate that into lefty KF speak: cope and seethe motherfuckers.

You can't transmit a disease you don't have to vulnerable people that don't even exist in your social circle. Healthy, uninfected people don't spread disease. It doesn't spontaneously generate if you aren't wearing a mask. Even if you were exposed that day, you wouldn't be able to spread it to anyone until it had set up shop enough to be contagious.

Eventually the world just has to move on. We tried lockdown for over a year, and sure it might be unfortunate, but covid is endemic, it's got animal reservoirs, we've only ever eliminated small pox and the most likely and realistic outcome is covid will kill some more olds and fats who were just waiting to die from their age or poor life choices and then become part of the background cold viruses. You don't have to like it, but that's going to happen. I'm sorry we can't win the War on Death. I know you don't think that's fair, but tough tits. We've fought this losing battle against nature for a year, we eventually stopped releasing new animals into Australia to fight off the last mistakes we made there, too. It's time to cut your losses.

It would be funny if they actually did that, but since the unvaccinated people are at higher risk, people would constantly clean/sanitize our fountains while neglecting the vaccinated fountains.
Test subjects get sick from dirty fountain: "THE JEWS ANTIVAXXXXXXXERS POISONED OUR WATER!! DEATH!! DEATH!!!!"

RE: @knobslobbin, since I've enjoyed your posts on how your state is going

My state has been relatively lax on COVID restrictions as well, and most of the restrictions have been or are in the process of being expired as of late.

I've found myself not wearing a mask that much now unless if I'm indoors in some establishments, and even then I've found myself not wearing a mask most of the time, and I've almost never wore a mask outdoors at all.

As for the vaccine, I'm thinking of waiting a little longer until known side effects become more or less apparent. I've not felt seriously sick through this whole pandemic though, so who knows if I'll ever take it.

NYS' Best Friend, Cuomo, mandates separate sections of ball parks in NYC for vaccinated and non-vaccinated.

Imagine if they did that over regular flu vaccines. I hope this insane circus can end someday, if that's even possible anymore. I've said it before, but 2020 truly was a year from hell.

Lockdowns and masks are making the pandemic worse.

That's how the tyrants running the show want it.

They really do want us "little people" to be miserable.

I'm wondering, the place with heavy lockdown... when a good majority will be vaccinated like 75%... thing don't return to normal like they hoped. Would people tear themself appart or they will rebel rightfully against the authority?
Here in the most miserable place on earth (WuhOntario, Chinada) we are about to find out. They plan on having 75% of adults vaccinated by end of May. Not that I believe that is gonna actually happen, but I’m really just waiting for the world to burn when people find out this is their new normal, vaccinated or not.
I collect branch Covidian tears now..

I wonder if Branch Covidianism is ever going away at this point. Can it, actually? Politicians and media have made the Coof out to be this absolute juggernaut of an illness, and the Branch Covidians think it can't go away unless we reach some sort of puritanical ideal. And so the politicians can't really make or let it go away, because the Branch Covidians are all-in on it, and the media just blasts whatever gets them clicks, which at the moment is more terror propaganda.
And the medial propaganda also made the divide between Branch Covidians and Acooftics into a political one as well. Somehow it's now the proper left-wing duty to follow the increasingly authoritarian and frankly arbitrary rules of the government, while those protesting against the pointless restrictions of personal freedom are branded anti-democratic and Coronazis.
Angst essen Seele auf.
Fear really does eat the soul.

At the federal level, no it's here to stay for a few more years at least. Same for blue states, they'll try and stretch it until the next midterms at least, it enables too much fraud for them to at least not try.

In red states it's already over, or will be very soon if yours is lagging a bit behind.

Someone should film the branch covidians having a meltdown when they encounter this sign

Stories like this really need to be appreciated as foreshadowing for the world we're likely to be living in for the foreseeable future, even in red states. It's not like an opinion piece like that consists of organic thoughts cooked up by some neutral intellectuals who were pondering these issues one day for no reason. The Washington Post is one of the ruling regime's mouthpieces, and they are telling you to get your jab, peasants, or prepare to get tossed into the fucking outer darkness to starve. After all, it's perfectly legal!

Even if governments relax their grip on us over the virus (though I don't see what incentive they have to do so), there are legions of fully indoctrinated fanatics like JimmyNugget who will basically never renounce their beliefs and will support any level of societal oppression of non-believers. They will invariably try to emotionally coerce people into being rule-following house niggers like themselves by labeling nonconformists as murderers who are a menace to their virus cult. If that doesn't work, they'll gladly go running to daddy policeman or corporate enforcers to make the bad people suffer, like the execrable cowards they are.

It's also patently false. It is legal to require an FDA approved vaccine, sure. But unfortunately they are hoping ppl don't look too closely at the differences between approved and emergency use authorization. Guess which one is not legal to require? oopsy

Even if the vaccines do eventually get approval, some estimates are not until mid '22-'23, that doesn't mean there won't be a public backlash against institutions requiring them.

Right, and the way I see it, even if it was legal in the most ironclad possible sense, it would still be a monstrous thing to do to set up a society that forces people to inject themselves with substances they don't want to inject themselves with purely to be able to receive food or basic access to financial services. Bodily autonomy really should not be seen as something to be brushed aside with no care whatsoever paid to it. The following is (for now) hyperbole, but if covid vaccines are seen as an acceptable thing to require of people to partake in grocery shopping or personal banking, why can't that logic be extended to things like proof of hormone treatment for your kids? How about requiring proof that you have an anti-racist license after graduating from equity camp? After all, isn't racism a threat to public health? There is no meaningful barrier to tyranny if people treat their basic right to maintain control over their own bodies or to refuse to participate in mass cult belief as some joke.

Socially contagious hysterical leftist Munchausen syndrome has far more dangerous side-effects than the supernatural ooga booga cold that Covid has become in lockdown land. The former leads to stupid shit like more muzzles, more lockdowns, more economic ruin, and more government overreach. The latter involves a fictionalized version of a virus that totally gonna abide by video game mechanics any day now if the skeptics aren't careful.
I saw a scientist who said the CDC has “institutionalized hypochondria.” Couldn’t have said it better myself, I don’t understand how people can be this fucking stupid to think that the government actually cares about them and that this isn’t another giant con job.

It's weird how all of the covid panic allowed the last election to be the most secure ever! I'm sure the paranoia won't be drug out until the midterms either, it'll be purely based on "the science".
