Not that I don't agree, and of course there's no pain that a sufficient amount of opioids can't take care of but generally at the doses that will reasonably be prescribed -- opioids won't help the sharp acute pain of self-mutilation at all and other than methadone (NMDA antagonism) they're all useless for nerve pain.

PL, but I've had a routine surgery where they gave me the max non-tolerant dose of fentanyl afterwards, and I was still in enough pain for several hours that I genuinely wanted to die to make it stop. Opiods do good at just knocking you the fuck out if you're hurting, and yes they also help dull pain, but they do not give you the ability to finger the inside of your leg with zero consequences. I'm figuring by the time it rotted to the point she was pulling chunks off, the whole thing had no sensation anyways.

Based on the previous post, I wont be surprised if she keep ripping off the IV needle from her hand. So the Doctor ordered the nurse to stick the IV needle to her forehead
It's strange where I'm at there are still state hospitals getting a lot of use. But I figure many areas they dont exist anymore. Used to be like 6 here and now their are only 2 and one for criminals. Got an influx of clients when they shut down the geriatric one.
I wonder why she can't access any of her social media accounts? It's not as though they take your phone away in the recovery ward.
